  • Most Expensive Personal Item

    Daily writing prompt
Name the most expensive personal item you’ve ever purchased (not your home or car).

Other than my car, and I don’t own a house. Would have to be my gaming laptop. I bought it at Best Buy, and its running like a champion too. It is a Predator Helios 300. It runs all my games, plus I can post on here. I considered buying a second laptop that I would use for school, and writing on my blog. But no complaints after about three years.

Anyways, not much is going on, these days. Its been quiet in fact, because Dad spent the weekend at the farm. He built a new dirt bike trail. So, there are like three trails now, and I can’t wait to see the new one.

Of course, I don’t ride dirt bikes. But I ride the riding lawn mower. Thats fun to me. I enjoy turning it. It reminds me of Grandad (Dad’s Dad). To build the trail, my Dad had to cut down some mesquite trees, and tore up some prickly pair cactus. He got pricked by one. Now, THAT is some dedication. Dad is really doing a lot with the farm, but the sad thing is no one seems to be taking advantage of it. Its sad to see it go to waste. We all need to get out there, and use what Dad built.

Anyways, I am going to a law enforcement expo, on the 14th of November. Hopefully, someone will hire me. I am a little bit older, but I could probably get hired in the IT department. Also, I am filling out an application with Champion Homes. Trying to increase my take home, you see. For now I have been driving Uber. I am grateful to God for Uber. I don’t like working on Sundays, so for now I will drive Uber. Well, that all for now, good night and God bless you!

  • SpiracyCon

Yep. In August, I am going to be traveling. I will be traveling to The Cave City Convention Center in Kentucky for basically, a Bigfoot convention. My Dad bought me and him some dinner. Also, Scott came over.

It rained today. So, my Dad bought dinner. He gave me money, and wanted me to go to Burger King. Yum. Apparently, Burger King has a $5 Whopper meal on Wednesday, now days. I was skeptical when my Dad told me about it. I wasn’t sure which Burger King to go too. So, I went to the one in Kenedale. I went in, and asked the cashier, “Do you have the five dollar Whopper meal?” I expected to be laughed out of the restaurant. But instead, he rang it up. I asked for two Whopper meals. He rang it up, and it came out to $10.80. My Dad had given me a ten dollar bill, so I just paid with my card and covered the difference.

After dinner, Scott called. He wanted to come over, and I told him it was ok. Turns out, Scott wants to move to Plano, or some place. Then, later Scott and me set up my YouTube to go live. Scott give me some tips, because I am interested in building up a YouTube channel. There are so many channels out there! Afterwards, we went and got some gas, and drinks at QT.

I briefly stopped over at my Mom’s house, as well. I just wanted to say that, because they had on FOX News, and The Five was on. It was the token liberal’s turn to speak. She was talking about Musk, and Trump. Personally, I just think that whole situation is missed up. Elon did a really brave thing, helping Trump. One day, I do believe, we will have a Mars base because of Elon.

Now, I started out by saying that I am going to Spiracy Con. Let me share what that is. It is KIND of like a Bigfoot convention. But its gonna have expanded topics, I believe. Perhaps the origins of big foot. The reason I am going, is because there is a show I used to follow, The Mid Night Ride, on YOUTUBE. The hosts are both going to be in the convention. The convention is in August. I will try and get some pictures to share, of Cave City, Kentucky. I have seen some pictures, my self so I think we are in for some real treats. Here is the website:

    http://spiracycon.com/

    Here is there logo:

So, as you can see, I am in for a good time. I am hoping that Scott will go with me.

I want to share a short. As I mentioned I am making a YouTube Channel. I hope it grows an audience. So, I will post a short. Two. They were both pretty popular, and I am not sure why.

The above video, is just a storm, but somehow it got over 100 views. It was pretty popular compared to some of my other videos.

I shared this one because it had 360 views, last count. So, its my highest grossing views video. I just wanted to share it, because of its popularity.

  • To A New Year

So, let me begin by giving credit to another author. It was anewwriter3. They wrote an excellent post about the past year. So, I will try and do something similar here. I want to start by highlighting some of the things I did this year.

At the beginning of the year I was sick. I was living in my apartment in Everett, Washington, and had to go back to work. But I needed the money to pay rent, and to stay on top of my bills. To many sick days, and I would be out of my apartment! Or I might have to sacrifice my phone bill. Wouldn’t that be a crime? lol. But I made it into work.

I worked at Evergreen Goodwill. It was over on Casino Road, about a mile from my apartment. It was a nice place to work. Everybody was so nice to me, and uplifting, and positive. They did not even mind me smoking. We even celebrated Thanksgiving together! It was so much fun to work at Goodwill.

But- my money got mixed up. Somehow, I had $5000+ in my NAVY Fed. When I went to pull the money out, well the account went negative. I was thinking it would go to a zero balance. Instead I owed $3400. So, I panicked. I opened a Boeing Credit Union account. Which worked for a little while. But I was still able to pay rent at this time. It was so sad, that negative balance almost ate my savings. But I withdrew all my savings so I could deposit it into the Boeing Credit Union.

Johnny let me go do this, before I clocked in. I was so excited, and almost didn’t notice when he had me clocked in, and being paid, while I was at BECU. At BECU they granted me an account based on my “living in Washington State”. Even though I didn’t work at Boeing. How nice of them!

Jazmine advised me not to close my NAVY Federal account. So, I still have that. In the future I will use it again. But for now I use a different institution. So, I have peace of mind. It was probably just an error or something.

Then, what happened. Well, I got some lighting for my apartment. My friend, Stephanie, bought me an extra lamp for my living room. But it had a missing piece. She said I could get it from Fred Myer. But I never did. The lamp worked great! Ben helped with another lamp. But I ended up driving Ben, to take his cats to the vet.

I also passed my 90 day review at Goodwill, I remember. That was a big moment for me. The reason is, that I could not understand how come it took so long. I had been working longer than 90 days. Maybe they just wanted to give me a chance to try harder, because I missed some days by being sick. Everything was still going smooth, where I had plenty of money it seemed. But then, after my pay day, I realized my money for my disability would probably go to my NAVY Federal account and be lost! So, I knew I couldn’t pay rent.

This was in April. So, I ended up thinking of ways to pay rent without having a notice for eviction. If I had had a notice of eviction, I would have been able to go to the Human Resources to apply for rent assistance, as a Veteran living in Snohomish County. But my notice of eviction wouldn’t come till May, so that would mean I would owe June’s rent as well. So, I would garner two months of debt and not be able to pay my rent. So, I would run out of money eventually.

So, at the end of April I went and quit my job at Good will. I turned in my badge, and my vest. We had to wear a yellow/orange vest. I told Jazmine, in the presence of the Manager “I quit”. But that wasn’t after at least trying to apply for work at Boeing, and applying for Voc Rehab. But I got turned down for both of those.

When it came to my lease. I just talked to Jill. I asked how much it cost to break my lease. She said it was $1100+. I realized, it was pay rent, which I could no longer afford, or break my lease. So, I went with “Break my lease”. So, I hightailed it on the road! Let me share you pictures of my apartment.

That is a selfie in my bedroom. I had my head shaved.lol Don’t ask. She is very beautiful. She lives in Kentucky.

A picture of the view outside my apartment. Isn’t it lovely? That is Goodwill in the background. I like the way the sun was reflecting off the clouds. I didn’t see that very often, in Washington State. I see it a lot in Texas, however.

This is my whale friend. I found him at Goodwill, and couldn’t resist. He just laid there in my bed, and kept me company. He didn’t say much either. But- he was there.

Another selfie, me standing near the pantry. Thats where my table was, and I had those nice folding chairs too. I still use the pajamas. I miss the hoodie! It was purchased when I did a road trip from Virginia, to Texas.

Anyways, once I broke my lease, I packed everything I could fit into my car. I was surprised how much stuff I could fit. But I knew I had to drive over the mountains so I kept it light. I left my suit, too. I miss that suit. They helped me pick it out at the Goodwill store. I made sure to get any documents with my name, and address on it.

Then, that next morning, without a word to anyone, I began driving back to Texas! But first I made sure I had pressure in my tires before I left. I began to drive, and drive. I drove for two days straight. I stopped only for a bit of rest at certain lengths of the trip. I could not afford a motel room. I kept checking my Boeing account, hoping my disability had come in there, instead of into my NAVY Fed. Had that happened, I would have stopped at a Motel in Salt Lake City. I did end eating In and Out there. It was pretty good, and under $7 dollars!

Anyways, as I drove. I did not stop to look at anything. The route Google had me going, there was a lot to see. Because I went through Washington-> Oregon->Idaho->Utah->Colorado->New Mexico, and then into Texas. On to 287South. While I drove on 287, it was dark and cloudy. I didn’t want to keep driving, but I had too. It started pouring, and thunder, and lightning like you would not believe. Those truckers kept passing me by- but they didn’t understand. My car needed its oil changed, and I had been driving for two days.

So, I did my best to stay on the road. But At one point one of the trucks tried to pass me- and the wind shook up, right as he was about to go around me. But he ended up putting on his break a little bit, so I stayed ahead for about thirty minutes, thanks to that wind.

As I said, I would pull off the road to sleep once in a while. Well, it wasn’t really rest. It was just me, catching up a little bit, so I could then drive a bit further to the next resting place. It was nightmare, honestly, trying to get back. Because I knew I would miss Washington. That winter season as fun to me! I love a nice cool, wintry day. But you don’t get that here in Texas.

But things change. MY Dad ended up sending me $200 in a money order, to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Thanks to my Dad, and his generosity, I could still afford gas, and even to eat a little. I think my next restaurant was a Wendy’s too. I was starving by then. Or maybe it was Jack-in-the-Box. Either way, I ate pretty quick and got back on the road. I got to Texas right when it starts to get hot. When it came to the heat I knew I was going to die in the summer. But I resolved myself.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this blog post. I enjoyed writing it, expressing my feelings, and how I dealt with everything. I hope it was informative as well. Originally, I thought Google would take through good ol’ El Paso. But instead it took me back through Amarillo. So, i don’t know why it did that. Amarillo is nice too, but you know I was hoping to get onto I-20 from there. But as I was on 287S I had to ride out that storm as I was driving. So, it sucked. Given that I didn’t really want to return to Texas. But in the end, what did I achieve? I lived on my own, for eight months and proved to myself I could do it. Just next time, don’t accept unverified money into my account like that.

The Day after I got back, I ended up getting more money into my NAVY FED. So, I knew something was up again. I told my Dad, “Drive me to NAVY Fed right now, and I can pay you”. So, he di that. Dad and me, went to NAVY FED and while my account balance was at $7800, I withdrew my disability and gave my Dad his $200 back. He gave me a break on rent. So, I knew I could make it through the month. But now I had to find a job.

    Anxiety

Well, I did find a job. At first, I went back to DefenseTex. But they had me stuck in some hell hole, messing with an app that was time sensitive and refused to work for me. Scott put in a call to a company called Ranger Guard, while we were at Captain D’s. He helped me get the job I have now, because when they called to Interview me, they were asking me what shift I wanted to work, and what was my uniform size. Fast forward a few months.

I was working the Golden West Food Group. It was almost time for me to clock out, and my relief was there. He was walking towards my car, so i turned down my music, and had to put out my cigarette, I felt like. So, I did. Then, a trucker walked up at the same time. He wanted me to sign something. I was going to do it, but I asked my relief, “Can we just sign this for them, and he can park?” My relief said, “No, he needs to go to the office to sign it” my anxiety kicked in major, because this same guy had told me a couple days earlier, to sign it and let them park. So, I was unable to smoke, and I had my music down, and I really felt my anxiety.

I guess I need a job, where I sign stuff. Because I was anxious that I could not sign, for the trucker. I honestly don’t know why the anxiety kicked in, but my guess is, that I was not able to help the trucker by signing his document, so he was disappointed and felt he had wasted his time. I turned on my music, and lit a smoke again, but it didn’t help. I still felt the anxiety for a while afterwards. I felt so helpless. Thank you for reading my blog!

  • The Day’s Adventure

Today, I woke up early. For me. It was 8:30 AM. I knew today would be a big day. For, I am starting out on how to fund my studies. I first made it to UTA, by 9:30. I know this, because I paid for parking at 9:28, which lasted until 11:28 AM. Then, I went up to the Student Success Center in Ransom Hall. I have been there before. My old baby sitter, Eileen works there. I guess she runs the program. She is normally in her office. But when I went in, the students at the front told me, I would have to wait five minutes. I expected to have to wait. But, it didn’t take long for Eileen to show up.

After Eileen finished her conversation, she came in. She recognized me! “Good sign” I thought. She asked how I was doing, and I said “Fine”. But then, I told her how I signed up for two classes, and that I might have to drop them. Due to unexpected expenses with my car. (Remember, the alternator went out). So, she told me about the “MavShop” for scholarships. She told me she would send me the link in an e-mail. Then, I told her, “I am about to go to the Veteran’s Assistance Center”, to check on the Hazlewood Act. She encouraged me, to come back to TRiO! I was relieved. If I stick with my classes, I definitely will.

Anyways, Eileen was not kidding about sending me the link. She sent the e-mail as soon as I was headed towards the VAC. I appreciated her efforts, and decided to write to her, as soon as I could. (I prefer to write school e-mails from my laptop). Once I got to the VAC I explained my situation.

I still have some of the GI Bill left. But I want to save it for an emergency, because its not a lot. So, they showed me where to go under “forms”, in order to fill out the application. Ok, I got that I realized. On the application form, it asks for a GI Bill Eligibility Letter/Exhaustion letter. Thats why I think I might be able to go ahead and use the Hazlewood Act.

I got home, and began filling out the forms I needed. I also needed my DD-214, and then I called the VA. The VA sent me a copy of my GI Bill Eligibility letter, to my e-mail address. Another e-mail. Well, I got those two documents. Then, “Oh, wait”, I need to fill out the actual Hazlewood Act application, and then upload it to my computer somehow.

So, I filled out the form. Then, I went to scan it on my Dad’s printer. But it turns out, that his particular model of printer doesn’t include scan. So, off to Office Depot I went. After waiting a few minutes, I finally made it to the front of the line, and got my document scanned, and e-mailed to me. After that I went an ate at Chick-Fil-A. Yum.

So, after I ate, I went home. I sat down to finish the form I needed to fill out for my school for the Hazlewood Act. I uploaded all the documents I had, plus filled in my comments about still having some of the GI Bill, and as its not enough to finish school, saving it for an emergency. Then, I pressed “save” and “submit”, but I needed one more form. Its something that shows how much of the Hazlewood I have used. Well, I went to go get this missing form, and I couldn’t access the website. Not on my laptop, not on my phone. So, I looked up a phone number. I found a phone number and called it.

After I called the phone number, they called me back. But I missed it. Yet, they left a message for me. In it they gave me a different phone number. I will share it here, incase you decide to use the Hazlewood Act: 1512-463-3168. So, I called that number, and got through. They asked me to send a screen shot of what was happening. So, I did. I had to send the e-mail three times because I had the wrong e-mail. I kept thinking it was Hazelwood@tvc.taxes.gov. But the e-mail address is actually hazlewood@tvc.texas.gov.

Hannah was the person at the Texas Veteran’s Commission that helped me on the phone. She promptly e-mailed me back, to once she got my e-mail. I am grateful for her help. Who knows, maybe this thing will move forward in part because of her willingness to help. Still have not been able to access the site, but she assured me the IT people were on the case. So, here is another situation, where I just follow the next step, and trust God. Thank you, Hannah!

After that, and some reading, I was hungry. But I was not yet sure what to eat. So, I decided to go see Mom. She and Joey were just lounging in their chairs when I went over. But I gave my Mom the narrative, that I just gave you.

After stopping at my Mom’s I finally headed to go get some food. I decided to go to Grease Monkey, where I could get me a Student Burger and fries, as I now had my student ID again. Thanks to a couple of other people, whose names I don’t have.

That is what a Student Burger looks like. Cheapest burger in town, too.

  • Coffee

Yes, I am drinking it right now. I love to drink coffee when I write. I hope, I will remember this in school this time. Because I enjoy having coffee while I write because, I think coffee “fuels” creativity in me, for some reason. I don’t find myself needing to smoke while I write. Sometimes I take breaks and smoke. I am drinking it black right now, but sometimes I like a little cream or sugar. I do like Starbucks too, but mostly just regular coffee works for me.

I am drinking coffee right now, because I need to stay up. I work tomorrow, at 11:00 PM. I plan to get my rest during the day. I got a lot of rest last night, so I think I will be able to stay up, till the wee hours of the morning. In the meantime, as you can see, I am getting some writing done in my blog. So, I made a full pot, and I am two cups in.

I am also listening to Christmas music. I have it up louder than I had it before. So, I just shared that so you can picture me, coffee cup in hand, Christmas music playing, and me typing away.

I have never liked tea. I remember my first sip of it, and I didn’t like it. I never developed a taste for tea. Hot or cold. But hot coffee, is delicious to me. My first sip of coffee, I wanted another sip! It was my therapist’s coffee, up in Washington State. I still remember the smoothness of the coffee as it went down for the first time.

This was the train I went and visited in Washington State. I went and saw it in March. I just started driving on I-5, got off the interstate and found Highway 20, and on the sign it said “Newhalem ‘x’ miles”. So, I started driving, and just kept driving for hours in order to find it.

I used to see this train when I was growing up. It still looks the same. But it is such a neat memory. Either my family would load up, and drive out there, or sometimes people would come up from Texas to visit us. this was one of the spots where we would take them. There is a mile long nature trail, across a bridge. The trail leads to a source of electrical power for Seattle.

This is where the conductor would stand. I took a picture of this, not sure why. But I decided to include it here. After I saw the train, and walked the trail, and sat by the river for a little bit, I began driving back to Everett. Thank you for reading my blog! I feel like I am writing just for you.

  • A Discovery

I should be a sleep. But I am not tired. Usually, I am up at this hour anyways. I might have to work- I am not sure. If I do not have to work, I will be attending a birthday party at 2 PM. My Dad is planning to go to the farm, rather than going to the birthday party. I guess that is ok.

So, I have been searching for an old buddy of mine. Bert, from Misawa, Japan. Bert and me used to play World of Warcraft together, and we tanked for an Australian guild, together along with Meanbean. I remember all this, and am happy to have finally discovered Bert in an unlikely place- Together We Served (TWS). It was that easy- I put his name, and then filtered his rank, and sure enough I found him. I Looked Bert up on Facebook- I think I found some family members of his, and I friended them/messaged them to see if its so. Bert it seems, is currently in Laramie, Wyoming. So, I have a phone number, and in the morning I will give it a call. Plus, I now have an address. I will keep searching. Wish me luck! Thank you for reading my blog.

  • Blood Draw

Today, I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked. I was off today, and that was alright. I went to the VA Clinic over on Loop 820. My Doctors have been telling me they need to see my vitals. So, I obliged, and used my day off at the VA. But it didn’t take as long as I might have expected. They got me in, and got me out. Neat. President elect-Trump is not even in office, yet things are already running smoothly. I guess this time- the Government realizes that Trump is the people’s choice.

After I got done with my blood draw was when it happened. I had a clear view in front of me, and nobody was in the parking spot in front. So, I thought- why not? So, I pulled forward- and went over the cement stopper in front of me. I didn’t see it, obviously. So, I checked for damage, and didn’t see any. Then, I backed up, over the cement stopper. I guess I just was lucky, because nothing was still broken. But on the way back to the house, I could hear something skidding/bouncing along underneath. I thought it might be the tire. So, I took it to Discount Tire and had them look at it.

Silly me, it was the plastic cover that was dragging, it turned out. But no internal damage- God was watching over me. So, I thanked the Discount Tire employee, and went on my way. I ate at Colter’s BBQ, and got the sandwich platter. I sat next to an attorney who was talking to his client, it seemed. So, I ate, but I could hear them talking. It appeared that the attorney had injured his arm somehow, as he was wearing a brace.

After eating, I went home and waited for my Dad to get home. I just laid there on the couch and rested for a while. My Dad came in, and I explained what happened. So, my Dad said he would be out, and went to the bathroom. I went outside, and smoked while I waited for Dad to inspect the damage (it is still in his name). After a few minutes, Dad started messing around in the garage, and he pulled out these two stanchions that you can drive the car up on.

I drove up, and over the stanchions, which I expected would happen. I just do not do well, when it comes to cars. But my Dad is an expert. He went and bought a jack, a nice solid one. It took a minute to get it working, but one by one we were able to remove each of the stanchions, and this time my Dad drove the car onto them. Dad ended up using zip ties to temporarily hold the plastic part, and keep it from dragging. To be continued. But Dad noticed that the front bumper had come lose as well.

So, Dad wanted to take the car to Jalisco Auto and Body Paint. He knows the man who owns it, and Dad wanted him to inspect the car and see if he could tighten up the bumper. So, we drove out to Kenedale.

The man looked at the bumper, and began taking things a part. My Dad tried helping. Then, after a while he figured out a way to tighten up the bumper, at least temporarily. So, now I can drive around and I don’t have a huge piece of plastic dragging, and the bumper isn’t going to fall off suddenly. Also, the man didn’t charge us anything for his time. Which is why I included his information here.

    Trump Hat

That is right, I now have an official Trump hat!!! It is golden.

I stopped by Mom’s house and had some salmon. Joey made the salmon. It was delicious. I meant to bring this hat with me. I didn’t, so I just showed her this picture, while we were eating, and watching The Five on Fox News. Then, I drove home and accepted my admissions to University of Texas at Arlington. But I regret that I was unable to get advising done, today so I could start signing up for classes.

Well, that is all for now. Basically I got very little done today, and it was my own fault. Oh, well, maybe I will be off tomorrow as well. I will get advising done if so. I ate salmon with Mom, and it turned out to be delicious. Other than that, not much happened today. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog!!!

  • Veteran’s Day 2024

I couldn’t go to sleep last night. Even though I worked all day, I stayed up. At 2 AM I made a pot of coffee. As I drank my coffee I kept cruising on X.com and following the nominations, and other odd bits like polls hosted by various Trump pages. Some asked whether Pelosi should be prosecuted. Or Milley court martialed. The man went behind the back of a sitting United States President.

At about 6 AM, I got in the car and drove. I was driving to the IHOP in East Chase. I had stayed up listening to my music too. So, I never went to sleep. I was so excited to be able to tell Jack about my plans to go back to school. So, I drove and drove. At about 6:30 I pulled into the parking lot. Jack came along eventually. We got inside about five minutes before breakfast. But they were obliging and went ahead and served us.

My pancakes came with blueberries and other fruits on them. I asked the water to bring me a different plate, which he did. I was so happy for that. I told Jack everything I had told you guys, about going back to school and my progress so far. He told me I should talk to Pete Finch, at the Veteran’s Assistance Office. We also talked about politics. Jack said, “DemoKKKrats are dumb” lol. I was so happy to reconnect with Jack, he always finds a way to make me laugh.

We left soon after we finished our meals. We left a tip- breakfast was free, since it was Veteran’s Day- and departed IHOP. I went home, and was about to go to bed. But I realized Jack was right- I should talk to Pete. I laid down for a bit, but couldn’t get to sleep. So, I got up, put my clothes on and headed to the Sweet Center.

It took me a minute to find the new visitor parking. You pay by the hour, by license plate. So, I paid for my parking ticket, and headed to the Center. when I got there, they greeted me. I asked, “Could I get an appointment to speak with Pete?” One of the workers at there desk asked him if I needed an appointment. But he said No, that he would see me, but it would be a minute.

So, I waited in a chair they had. The Sweet Center sure had changed since I last was there. Where the desk was sitting, they previously just had tables there. Me, Jack, and the gang would play UNO. Now, the counter and desk were taking up the space. My how things had changed. After a few minutes Pete came out.

Pete began looking at my record. He acknowledged the last time I took a class was in 2019, in the Fall. Then, he started signing me up for Veterans Upward Bound TRiO. TRiO is not an acronym. After I filled out some paperwork, Pete told me he needed my DD-214 and a 1040 from 2023. He said I could bring those to him that afternoon, scan and e-mail them, or bring them on Wednesday. I was just going to go home and go to sleep. But that didn’t sit right with me. I wanted to make some actual progress.

So, I got in my car, and drove all the way to H&R Block. But H&R Block was closed, so I thought to myself, “Surely I packed my 1040 in my trunk” so I checked once. Couldn’t find it. The second time I checked, I finally found it. By God’s grace I managed to pack my 1040 when I left Washington. So, I hurried on to the house, and picked up my DD-214. Then, I began heading back to UTA. This time I didn’t have any problem finding the parking.

After I gave my documents to Pete, he scheduled me for an interview on Wednesday. It can be over the phone he said. Which works great for me, I will probably be at work. I even told Pete about my plan to just take one class. Then, two classes. Then three, and if all goes well four classes. I think TRiO might be for full time, but it sounds like he is willing to make an exception.

Then, I heard from both Julie Flores and Evelyn Sanchez. I was able to log into MyMav and note the progress of my application. I still have two holds. Finally, I was able to drive home, and go to sleep. About 3:30 PM I awoke again, and couldn’t go back to sleep. At first I was going to go see my Mom, but nobody was home. So, I drove to Texas Roadhouse and ordered a 16 oz steak. With fries, and rice.

That was my meal at Texas Roadhouse. As you can see, I ordered it medium rare this time. It was delicious.

Well, all in all, I had a pretty eventful day. I feel I got a lot done. Plus, I got to see Jack, and Pete.

  • Salmon Burgers and City Hall

Years ago, the VA recommended Salmon for me. Because of the fish oil. I began eating Salmon patties from Kroger, but the Kroger I go to quit selling them. I searched for years, and years. I finally found a Kroger that sells exactly the kind of Salmon patty I was looking for. I bought two packages. Plus, my Dad had buns, and I ordered more buns as well.

That was my salmon cooking, I used olive oil, and cooked them for about ten minutes, flipping them over after a few. They were delicious. I never thought I would find my salmon patties, but here we are. I am following up on the VAs advice all those years ago. Maybe I will start to feel healthier. I already do, actually.

That was for a late lunch. I eat irregularly, because I consider myself on a diet. I prefer to eat one big meal a day, and a couple smaller meals. This is to prevent snacking in between meals, which can make you fat. I have gained a lot of weight, but then again I am eating differently. Perhaps, I need to start getting some exercise as well.

Its been a while since I last worked. I hope dispatch has not forgotten me. I worry about that. One reason, I worry about it, is because I want to be able to go back to school. I want to finish my school so that I can help the city of Arlington.

I spent 13 years in the United States Navy. I did my service for America. Now, I want to do service for Arlington. Its where I have gone to school, its where I have lived for the most part of coming on a decade here soon. I really have always liked Arlington, it seems accessible, and it has a positive environment, if you want to work. There are a good number of parks, and recreational sites as well. Perhaps some of those need cleaning up.

Because of my interest in service, to the city of Arlington, I went by City Hall, and this is something I found. But first, before I can run for city council, I need to finish my degree, I believe. But nevertheless, I want to run for City Council and help my city to grow, and to become a little better organized. I want to represent Jesus anywhere that I go, as well.

I also found the library, and I got my library card from there. At first my library card was registered under a different name: Poppy. Hmm. I wonder what was up with that. Well, anyways the lady at the front desk issued me a new library card, and had me sign it with a sharpy. I hope that was ok.

I also discovered the Map Room at City Hall. I saw it on the right, as I entered from Abrams. At first I couldn’t find parking, so I parked at UTA. I had not been there in so long. My journey to City Hall helped direct me in the right path- to finish school.

Then, at City Hall I discovered that you can request your birth certificate. After that, you can take that, and begin getting your passport at the library. Its actually, directly behind City Hall.

After I visited with my Mom, for a while, I came back home. I determined to complete a project I had been meaning to finish. About a month ago, I ordered a chair from Walmart. I had an inclination to put it together today. It is a desk chair, and is it comfortable! I just followed the instructions and put the chair together, just like it said, the instructions were easy to follow. Now I am writing to you from my chair.

That is what the chair looks like. I felt a sense of accomplishment after finishing it, and seeing how it looks. It feels comfortable too, and when I brought it up stairs, I had to move stuff out of the way. Then, I brought my laptop upstairs as well. This made it so I am a little more complete now.

In conclusion, I got a lot done today, but it was stuff I put off. Now, I want to share a song I found on YouTube:
