  • Most Expensive Personal Item

    Daily writing prompt
Name the most expensive personal item you’ve ever purchased (not your home or car).

Other than my car, and I don’t own a house. Would have to be my gaming laptop. I bought it at Best Buy, and its running like a champion too. It is a Predator Helios 300. It runs all my games, plus I can post on here. I considered buying a second laptop that I would use for school, and writing on my blog. But no complaints after about three years.

Anyways, not much is going on, these days. Its been quiet in fact, because Dad spent the weekend at the farm. He built a new dirt bike trail. So, there are like three trails now, and I can’t wait to see the new one.

Of course, I don’t ride dirt bikes. But I ride the riding lawn mower. Thats fun to me. I enjoy turning it. It reminds me of Grandad (Dad’s Dad). To build the trail, my Dad had to cut down some mesquite trees, and tore up some prickly pair cactus. He got pricked by one. Now, THAT is some dedication. Dad is really doing a lot with the farm, but the sad thing is no one seems to be taking advantage of it. Its sad to see it go to waste. We all need to get out there, and use what Dad built.

Anyways, I am going to a law enforcement expo, on the 14th of November. Hopefully, someone will hire me. I am a little bit older, but I could probably get hired in the IT department. Also, I am filling out an application with Champion Homes. Trying to increase my take home, you see. For now I have been driving Uber. I am grateful to God for Uber. I don’t like working on Sundays, so for now I will drive Uber. Well, that all for now, good night and God bless you!

  • Working In Downtown Dallas!

You read that right. I am working at a site in downtown Dallas. The Veterinary Clinic on Oak Lawn. I began at about 12:45 PM today, and got off at 6:30. Tomorrow, I will begin at 6:30 AM! So, I have to be up extra early. I was thinking I was going to have to go lateral to get any kind of work- turns out I still have a job. For now. I work till Sunday. While I was working I noticed this robot:

I googled the picture. Turns out the robot has a name- Maggie. Maggie just kept going. I couldn’t determine what her purpose was, however. Pretty cool!

After a while, I got hungry so I ordered food using DoorDash from a burger joint- they had tater-tots! Yum! They forgot to give me ketchup though. Oh, well. It was till pretty good. I had to go inside the clinic to use the bathroom a couple times. I noticed a dog when I went in the second time.

I am not allowed to be in my car, at this new site. So, I miss my music. But I am glad for the work. So, I press on. Today it was a bit windy, and it was sunny out.

While I was working, my app needed to be updated. When I tried to sign back on, it wouldn’t let me. So, I spent half an hour talking to dispatch, to get the app to work. But eventually, it signed me back on. I will probably have to reset my password again. But I hope not.

Anyways, I was working, and doing my reports. Thus, I am allowed to be on my phone. Billy is, or was a counselor. I have his number. Sometimes I send him memes. Or thoughts. But this time, I discussed with him what happened in DEERS. I told him I will get the information from DEERS. As a veteran, I still have access to DEERS. I will get the records for 2013. FC2 Gulub said there was an affair.

Well, anyways, I hope my readers are having a good day. I certainly had an interesting one, as you can see. I give thanks when I am able to live well, and I give thanks when I am living slim, like the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians.

Because I have work, I will not be able to pick up the battery for my phone until Monday. They said something about Friday. I am a bit disappointed, but so be it. I put this off for years, I don’t know whether the information on my phone will still be there. But pray it is! If you pray. Well, have a good night.

  • Billy and Kathryn

This is a photo of Billy. I know, I know, you have seen it before. But- did I ever tell you about my friendship with Billy?

I have always wondered how our families first connected. The Robinsons and the McCarty families was a connection, unlike any other. My Mom told me that she, and Aunt Mary would talk after church. Originally, they lived in a trailer, behind the church I remember. I just remember coming back from Great Granny’s funeral, and there were all these guns, and boxes of ammo beneath my metal frame bunkbed from Children’s Company. That was the first time I ever heard the name Robinson. I was impressed. The Robinsons had decided to store there guns at our house. Later, Mom and Dad had them over after church. At first me and Billy did not get along. In fact, I thought I was being forced to be Billy’s friend! But after a while, I noticed, we would always have some kind of adventure together. Our families were closely aligned, it seemed. Uncle Rob was in the Navy. That was so exciting to me.

Long paragraph. But I have a bit to explain. After a while, in the Fall of 1995, my Mom, and Aunt Mary began Psalm singing with us children. The Psalters, which were last revised in 1936, I noticed, were moldy. But they were what we were going to sing. I didn’t remember ever seeing a Psalter prior to our Psalm singing. For a while, it was just the Robinsons and the McCartys that did the Psalm singing. But I really felt this time was foundational to what happened later. Where our families went from barely being able to get along, to going on vacations together!

Then, we added another family to our Psalm singing. The Winslows. It was actually pretty fun. We would have about 45 minutes to do something before the Psalm singing. Then, afterwards we would have another 45 minutes to do some activites. I remember we would play all sorts of out door games, like for a while we did hockey. Then, we did kickball, and soccer too. It was so much fun. Then, me Billy, and Kathryn would go off, and have discussions too. We were all close in age. I was a bit younger than Billy and Kathryn. But I felt a connection forming, with both Billy and Kathryn. So, I always consider that to be my first real connection.

Now, I am no longer connected with Billy, or Kathryn. But the memory of that time, is so positive to me, I still think about it often. I don’t have any pictures of Kathryn, but if I did maybe I wouldn’t share it, unless she said it were ok. But this picture of Billy is from a public website. Billy is now a counselor, in Grand Rapids. I have sometimes thought of signing up for a session just to talk with him. Kathryn married and moved to Wyoming. But I really felt like Billy deserved the credit for the connection with Kathryn. We went from arguing and fighting, mostly my fault, to being able to sit together for Sunday school. Or at Youth Group. Or, we would discuss our families. It was really neat.

You might think Uncle Rob being in the Navy was the reason I joined. It was influential, and one time we got a tour of a submarine. But Uncle Rob actually, had told me not to join the Navy.

Then, I remember one day, my Mom, and Aunt Mary kind of got into a fight. It was just after William was born, they wouldn’t talk for years. It was so sad, because the Robinsons and the McCarty families had gotten along so well. Something about the move I guess. I never figured out why they fought, but I did know that my Aunt Mary and Mom agreed: Someday they would meet for lunch. That was a profound statement for me. So, I wanted that to happen. It did happen! I ended up going to Billy’s graduation from Christian Liberty Academy, in Illinois. After that, I remember my Mom and Aunt Mary re-connecting.

But yes, without Billy, I doubt I ever would have been able to connect with other people very well. I think Kathryn had reached out to form a friendship, prior to the arrival of Billy, and it failed. I didn’t even know what a connection was, till Billy showed up.

    The Saddest Moment

One day, Billy managed to call me, while I was stationed in Misawa. He wanted me to attend his wedding. Because of manning I doubted whether I would get leave. I had nefarious intentions of my own, for returning to the states. So, I did ask if I could get leave. But they told me I wouldn’t get it. I think my Uncle Rob could have helped me get leave, but I didn’t press the issue. I regret not attending Billy’s wedding. It would have been such a blessing to see him, at his big moment, when his family formed. I met his wife, to and she is not only beautiful, but very sweet. Billy had told me, he would be willing to do “Just about anything” to have me at his wedding. I felt like I failed Billy, in not pressing for the leave. For not attending his wedding. I regret this Billy.

  • Greetings!

Hello. I am just sitting down, to update my blog. I just ordered a Little Caesers Pizza for dinner, through Door Dash. I was introduced to DoorDash through a co-worker. Been using it ever since. I am currently, trying to find a way to get the DEERS information. As a veteran, I still have access to DEERS. This must mean, I can request information from my service times. I was in twice- once Active Duty, and then in the Reserves, under Trump! What a privilege to serve under Trump.

I am currently listening to some Lord of the Rings music, as I write to you. I hope this post finds you well. I am actually, not working currently. I am waiting to be put back on the schedule. I guess I could have gone to church today. But instead I listened on the radio, once more. It was Robert Jeffress. He discussed how Satan attacks our lives. It is because we are followers of Jesus.

My Dad just got back from picking up Panda Express. So, it looks like the pizza is mine! Can’t wait. My DoorDasher just called and said she would be a couple of minutes late, due to traffic. I am not bothered, though I am pretty hungry. This will be my second day in a row, ordering pizza. Pepperoni Pizza is my favorite, though! I have said this before. Oh, well.

I have decided not to chase icanslamsatan. I want to meet. Infact, I believe we have to meet. But if I chase her, she will think I want the wrong things. I just want to meet. If we have sex, we would have to get married first. I won’t have sex unless I am married. I won’t chase you, but I often think of you. Especially, ever since my collision for some reason. You know, icanslamsatan, I want to meet in San Diego. At the cross, on Battle Mountain. I think you would enjoy seeing that. It will be a bit of a hike, to reach it. But I say, it would be worth it, if I were going to meet you. Plus, I grew up in Washington State, so hiking is not foreign to me! I really miss you, icanslamsatan.

    Madonna,

I have contacted them about the GI Bill, and I hope to hear back from them on Monday. It says I need to be active duty to transfer my benefits. But I am going to see if I can still do it, somehow. I would love for you to be the recipient of it, and you can decide who gets it. Both of your daughters seem smart to me.

Well, anyways, I am thinking of my cousins now, as the Lord of the Rings music courses through. The Bavidos that is. It just seemed like we had such a special bond. But Now I think its broken.

  • Missing Work

I am going to be missing work! My car started acting up, on Wednesday while I was working. I walked into Murphy USA to get a coffee. When I came back out, my car wouldn’t start. I tried to start it several times. With no success. So, I went into Chick-Fil-A to use the bathroom. I came back out, and my car started! So, I moved to some shade.

Then, my car began acting up again. This time it died, and I understood, it might be over heating. It was hot that day. Anyways, I went and lifted the hood to let it cool, and almost burned myself it was so hot under the hood. I went into use the bathroom again. After I came back out, the car started again.

I moved to another parking area, that I watch. It was running fine. But then, it acted like it was going to die again. I figured it might be overheating again, I rolled down the window and turned off the car. After a few minutes, I tried to start the car again. It wouldn’t start. So, I began calling “AAA”.

If you are ever stranded, “AAA” is a pretty reliable company. They can help with a number of problems, including with the battery, being locked out, or in this case, towing. So, I got in touch with a local towing company via “AAA”. I still have there number. But anyways, as I had called the tow company- the car started. I had just ended my shift. So, I cancelled the towing, and began driving home, with Robert Jeffress blaring!

As I drove, I noticed the check engine light was on. So, I kept that in mind, as I continued to drive. Expecting, at any moment that the car might die, on the Interstate. But I made it home! There were cops, watching the highway, so I knew I would be ok. They are the Arlington, PD.

Anyways, I got home. I let my Dad know what was going on with the car. He said, “Take it to O’Reilly’s in the morning, and get them to read the engine code”. So, I figured that was that, and went to bed. My Dad has had an irregular sleep pattern.

So, my Dad stayed up and worked on my car, all night long! At about 6, he left and went to McDonald’s for breakfast. I was a sleep while this all transpired. At about 8 AM, he called for me, and let me know he was about done working on the car. But he needed to go to O’Reilly’s for a part.

So, I dragged myself out of bed. I smoked a cigarette. But as I went back up stairs, he showed me a “code reader” he had received for Christmas one year. He found it, and read the code, and got to work on my car! Aw, Dad thank you!

I have footage of my Dad working on the car. It hasn’t received many views. So, I decided to share it here.

In the video, you can see the car, my Dad, and our somewhat messy garage! Well, enjoy. Time for me to finish my coffee, and hit the sack, but I will be missing work. So, I might stay up for a bit. My Dad is trying to order the parts on Amazon. He tried to buy them at O’Reilly’s. But the parts he needs would have cost him $150 at that place. So, he decided to order the parts from Amazon. Thank you, for reading! I hope you are doing well. Let me know, in the comments. God bless you.

  • My Day to Day Routine

So, last night, I stayed up late. Because of this, I woke up late as well at about 3 PM. Why did I stay up, though? Well, I spent the night discussing my interests when it comes to relationships, with a very dear friend of mine. She is so accepting, and just listened and did not ridicule or make fun of my interests. I told her about Rebekah, and the impact she had on me. How, once in a while, I wish I could meet back up with Rebekah, and continue on as her slave. She understood me, and this is very important to me.

Rebekah asked me to be her slave. During church, and I said yes. She left it open- I could have humiliated her in so many ways. But if I did that, I would never experience it- you know. So, I said “Yes”. Eventually, I was on my hands and knees promising to be her slave. I was so happy. God put Rebekah in my life for a very good reason, I think. Maybe I will write more about it later on.

ANyways. I woke up, and remember my friend Scott? He told me my sheets were smelly. So, today I did my laundry. Tomorrow I work again, so I also washed my work shirt. Right now, they are in the dryer. I also made coffee. I actually just got a cup, and I am drinking it from my “I Stand With Israel” cup.

For dinner, I had Arby’s. Normally, I just get the classic roast beef sandwich. But I wanted something different, this time. So, I saw they had a brisket sandwich available. I ordered it, with a meal. The BBQ came on the side, in a packet. Then, I found out there were cucumbers on the sandwich, so I took those off. Other than the cucumbers, the sandwich was so tasty! The BBQ was a bit spicy, which I love!!

Earlier today, I played World of Warcraft Classic. I got my druid to lvl 30, which allowed her to train “Travel form”, so she can go faster now. Its only usable outdoors. I also ran Blackfathoms Depths (BFD), and we got through it pretty quickly. I was impressed. For some reason, we skipped the water boss. But I was ready to get out of there, so it was ok. No pictures to share this time. I just wanted to share these moments of my day. Thank you for reading. God bless you.

  • Car Repairs

First, I wanted to give a shout out to the Veterans Affairs!! They have done such a good job keeping up with my medicine. It gives me motivation to be taking my medicine. Thank you!

That is my car. The starter was going bad. So, yesterday, me and my Dad took it to a place over on Arkansas to have it repaired. But it turned out, it needed a new starter. It was making some kind of weird noise when I would start it. It cost over $500 to get the repairs completed. So, I hope this fixes it long term. Only time will tell. This afternoon, I picked up my car, and it turned over like it should. So, for now I am happy with my repairs, even though it ran up such a high tab. My Dad was satisfied with it too.

Then, after I picked up my car, I was hungry. So, I went by Luci’s Chicken and Rice, which is just around the corner from the shop, where I got my car repaired at. I got 8 wings, Fried rice, and French fries.

It takes me about fifteen minutes, start to finish to eat the entire thing. But it is good. I am not sure how long that restaurant will remain in business, but while it is, I try to eat there at least once a week. See how big the meal is? I can’t eat all of that, but I try too. The roll is pretty good too.

After I ate, I played World of Warcraft Classic for a while. I was on my druid this time. I am comitted to playing my druid to lvl 60. Today, we ran Gnomeregan. It took about an hour to complete. Most of my group was above lvl for it. So, thats why it went by so fast. We had a couple of spicy pulls, where we almost wiped. But we recovered nicely.

After the run, I tried to laydown. But I couldn’t sleep. So, I started driving to my Mom’s house. I got a coffee at 7/11, and I needed cigarettes too. Then, I got back on the road, and finished driving to Mom’s house. When I pulled up, Mom was in the front yard, watering the grass. I guess it needed it. Joey let me inside the house. I just sat there for a while, talking to my Mom. She was texting with my Aunt Mary, up in Michigan. I was about to leave, but she gave me a coke. Here is a short I made at her house. Behind me you can see the piano.

After I had the coke, I finally left. But my Mom stopped me before I pulled out of the drive way, and she told me about how she is having a guy come out and repair her steps. The railing also. Maybe next time I will take a picture of it, so you can know what shape it is in. The steps on one side are all battered in, and it seems they need to be replaced. But its going to cost her $1200.

Well, anyways, I am back home now. I just wanted to share these tidbits with you. Thank you, for reading!
