So, this week has been filled with nothing but work. I have had little time to enjoy World of Warcraft. I have not read much either. I invested in an unfruitful relationship with a young woman. Unfortunately, things did not work out. I feel, she may have just been after money. She wanted $25. Of course, with my current finances I could not oblige. She asked me not to contact her again. This is unfortunate to me.
This happened Wednesday night. It was just after I got paid. But I have bills to pay, so I could not oblige her. I really wanted to though. I really felt she was my link to experience a certain kind of life. She was pretty, and very savvy.
I started back on my course with Hillsdale College. Hillsdale college offers free college level courses, on different subjects. One of which, I took was Ancient Christianity. It took a while, but finally we ended up at St. Augustine, who wrote “The City of God”, insinuating that though, Rome had fallen, the City of God is eternal. He also pointed out, that Rome had fallen once before. The work, was based on Psalm 48. I wanted to share a particular passage from that Psalm, that the professor read:
Psalm 48:4-7
The Kings have gathered. They march together. When they saw Mount Zion they were astonished. They were terrified and ran away in fear. Trembling seized them like the trembling that a woman experiences during labor. With the east wind you smashed the ships of Tarshish.
I shared this, because as I mentioned, City of God by the author St, Augustine was based on this Psalm, and this particular passage. So, descriptive of how God deals with His enemies- He doesn’t have to do anything. They will tremble in fear, when they witness him.
I also learned about the back and forth between the sons of Constantine. Constantine the II, Constance, and Constan who all were fighting for the throne. To be emperor of Rome. I also learned in detail about Constantine’s vision of Jesus, telling him to conquer under this sign. The sign of the cross was emblazoned on the shields of his soldiers- and he won the Battle. Also the Edict of Molan. Which granted tolerance towards the Christians, for the first time in the West, and in the Roman Empire. This change was warranted, said the professor, because of the profound influence of Christians throughout the Roman Empire. They were soldiers, and courtesians who all worshipped Jesus now. But Constantine did not become baptized until he was on his death bed.
Also, Constantine founded his capital, not in Rome, but in the city of Constantinople. Which he built, for his name sake. This city was later captured by the Ottoman Empire in 1453! It was renamed Istanbul. Because I ended up discussing the story of Constantinople and Istanbul, I guess it is only fair to share this song:
Thank you for reading my blog! God bless you. Enjoy the music.
World of Warcraft. When I say it, sometimes, I even forget to go smoke. It is fairly obvious from my description that I am hooked on World of Warcraft.
I just finished listening to Robert Jeffress. He encouraged his listeners to study and understand Revelations. He says there is a blessing in doing so. Robert Jeffress is really the only one who discussed the rapture. It’s not found in Revelations. It’s found in 2 Thessalonians.
John MacArthur died yesterday. Though there is much sadness on Earth, there is rejoicing in Heaven! He had a tremendous impact on me, as I could see he had a talent and a gift for teaching the Word of God. Something John MacArthur would discuss, is that churches will not discuss sin. Yes, they mention it, but in abstract. They need to go into detail.
For example, Paul discussed sexual sin a lot. That’s is why I am still a virgin. But the churches need to teach this, so that people will understand, sexual sin is no joke with God. But God offers mercy. Through His Son Jesus who took away the sin of the World. Call on His name, and you will be saved!! God bless you, and thank you for reading.
I woke up, this morning, it was raining. Pouring really. I was impressed, thought we might get flooded out. But then, it got hot! Almost all the water is dried up.
Tonight I have to go to work. I start at 9PM, in Garland, Texas. Soon, I will start heading towards there. My Dad suggested taking the George Bush Turnpike, said it goes straight to Garland. It is at an apartment complex. But for now, I am letting my phone charge.
I really enjoy my phone. It has a lot of memory (120gigbytes). I have a lot of images saved on there. The battery is a little bit weak. But as with all Androids, its very sturdy. SOmetimes, I throw my phone. I had an Apple, once, through it, and guess what? The phone shattered!
The Apple iPhone is not cheap. So, everyone reading this knows, I lost a lot of money. I only had that phone for about a month. I wish I had known better. I enjoyed listening to music on it. But, I don’t remember that much about it, as compared to the Android. I found myself confused.
Anyways, enough about phones. I am writing this- and I have a lot of memes on my phone, and on Google Photos. Maybe I will share one of those. Before I do that, I want to share a link for a publication I sometimes see, on iCampus.
Although not all seed will come to fruition, it must be sown throughout the world.
It is from the Institute for Creation Research. The article is titled “The Good Seed”. It describes the “Seed” as being some of the imagery the Bible uses. To describe God’s Word, and the Gospel. The message of hope!
Sadly, John MacArthur is in the hospital. He is not expected to recover, and the service at GCC (Grace Community Church) in San Diego, was delivered by someone else. I was not familiar with them. But I watched a video, in which prayers were offered for John, and his family! Soon, it seems, John MacArthur will be in the presence of the Savior!
Speaking of California. We have been bamboozled once again. So, in 2020, it was ok to loot, riot, and burn. But when Americans went and stood with Trump, peacefully, that was called an insurrection. Once again, they were trying to pull that same stunt. But as we see from this image, the riots in Los Angeles are anything but peaceful. It is clear, that the Mayor and the Governor, have lost control of the once great city of Los Angeles. People have begun calling for them to change the location of the Olympics! Pray for Los Angeles. God bless America!
The United States ceased, sending weapons to Ukraine for one week. Then, the other day, Trump resumed it. In the future, I think we will be sending humans, too. More than what we have over there right now. Putin is attacking people who cannot defend themselves, essentially. That is coming from Trump, not me!
I always considered Putin to be an Ok guy. I just thought, he loves Russia. But according to Trump, he cannot be reasoned with. It is very sad. It would always be nice to see Russia do well, but it seems Putin is bringing Russia to the brink of destruction.
To honor those who might be going over, someday, I have found a version of Over There that I really like. It got stuck in my head. So, I pulled it up, on YouTube. Things are still going on, in Texas with the flooding. Trump visited Texas today, in fact. He said, “It looked like a 40 foot wave!” on Fox News, today. Something is up.
But anyways, I really just wanted to share this song, with you all! It is never wrong to listen to patriotic music. Perhaps, these songs will once again get us through the dark days, of another European war!!
Through out the video, on top of the music, you will see different scenes, from every war. Its a history lesson, and yet it is done to a beautiful rendition of this song. I hope you enjoy it! God bless Texas! God bless America!! May Putin, please listen to reason!!! Pray for our country- indeed the World!
On the way home I listened to Pathway to Victory. I usually do about that time. Robert Jeffress is the mastermind behind Pathway to victory. He usually preaches convicting sermons. But lately, he has been teaching American History, including court cases, and records of the founders. He is making the case that America is a Christian nation. well, he read a quote by George Washington.
It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favors.
George Washington
I found the quote on Facebook. I shared it on my YouTube as a post. The quote is what Robert Jeffress used to provide the groundwork for the argument that America, despite what the secularists say, is a Christian nation.
Also I wanted to share my YouTube short. Its my latest one.
It is about Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill. How I feel, that most of it will never be implemented, because Congress and our government detest Trump! Like and Sbuscribe.
So, today I woke up, right before Blizzard Maintenance. I ended up going to Stormwind to turn in a quest. I bought a new staff for my druid, also. Also, I noticed something:
I have exactly, 66 Deviled Clams! Haha. To funny.
Well, anyways, it was supposed to be cloudy. But as I drank my coffee and smoked my cigarette, I noticed not a cloud in the sky. But, it is early, so perhaps we will see. It was nice out though. But the grass is a little high.
Let me just say, I am taking a break from posting about Trump, because I believe it is all in God’s hands. We need to pray for our President, and be vigilant. A lot is happening all at once. Oh, I did it! I mentioned Trump. Well, what can I say? He has been in the forefront of the news for- nearing 12 years.
Anyways, my Dad and I ate at a restaurant called “The Cotton Patch”, and my Dad ordered the Chicken fried steak, while I had a regular steak. I thought my steak was delicious, it was so juicy!
So, I shared EntertheStars. Sometimes I share the perspective of people- who do not share my beliefs. Nor, does the host seem to understand why we voted for Trump. Still, sometimes he has good information. So, I shared the opposite perspective with you. He goes in and makes fun of Trump for wearing a catheter.
I was reminded the other day, of something. There are Christians inside Iran. Iran is one of those countries, where persecution of Christians is the norm. On top of this they are being bombed! We need to pray for, and remember that they exist.
Today, I was at work. At my work, as long as I file my report every hour, or thirty minutes, I can kind of carry on how I want. As long as I am visible. So, what do I do? I study about God! Also the things going on. Such as in Israel, or even in America in Los Angeles and around the nation.
A part of my goal, is to spread information on my blog, and on YouTube, from various sources. FOX News, or CNN, they are a search bar away, from you finding out what they have to say. But this is not the case, with everyday Americans, or people, or organizations, that may have something to say. I found one such source today. I watched, and decided to feature this person’s message.
This was the first video I found, that she made. I was just browsing through YouTube looking for something to fill the time. But it seems the Lord wanted me to fill my time with someone- who loves Him, and shares the message of “repent”! But she didn’t just talk about repentance. She discussed sexual sin, in particular. Its interesting, because Paul wrote a lot about sexual sin. She quotes some of it here. But she said there is a solution!
That solution, is repentance and changing your life style. To often, the church ignores this very thing, sexual sin. Which is so sad- because Paul wrote extensively about sexual sin. He wrote that those guilty of sexual sin, will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. You better wake up!
This was the second video that she made, which I saw. There are more, and I will watch some tomorrow. But its very fascinating, because she said she stands with Israel in this video. Plus, she discussed the rapture with her viewers. I recommend watching both videos. In both, she discussed the dreams people have been having. I think people are beginning to wake up. Its refreshing that she discussed Israel a bit.
To often, the church doesn’t discuss things going on. Watch, Sunday will roll around, and I bet there will not be a peep about what happened in Iran and Israel. But it seems so obvious to me- that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled as we are watching. She even said at one point, “If you asked someone in the 90s about what was happening today, they wouldn’t believe it”. I realize we are supposed to be Heavenly minded. But didn’t the idea of “News” originally come from the church? That was why Martin Luther hung his Theses on the door of the church! Jesus also said to keep a watch and be vigilant. The only pastor I ever hear mention anything relevant going on, is Dr. Robert Jeffress. Thats why I follow his service. But even he would not go so far as to call it all “biblical” prophecy.
I wanted to share my blog, and I will also share my YouTube on my blog. Hopefully, I don’t get any strikes, because my whole point is to help this person get there message about repentance out. I think of her, as the “Cannon of God”! Yep. What a profound message. Hopefully, people will see this message, so they can respond to it.
Well, anyways I am going to go play World of Warcraft. You enjoy this, and please watch the messages. You won’t regret it.
Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth. The Earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water. The Spirit of God was hovering over the water.
God created the Heavens and the Earth. God also protects His covenant children. What if Benjamin Netanyahu is God’s method of protecting Israel currently? Just the other day, I was reading in his book, and he had explained that a preemptive strike is the best way, to protect Israel from annihilation.
Israel has bombed Iran. During the bombings they killed several key leaders. Because the attacks are described as “preemptive”, I guess this means Iran was going to, or was planning to do something. But Israel turned the tables on them. I have decided to share the Trump response with you.
See how in the video, the speaker says “There are no surprises here”. Trump knew this was coming, and he had someone warn one of our allies in the Middle East. They never said who the ally was, but my guess would be Saudi Arabia.
See, how in the video he says “We will defend Israel if necessary” and also the Iron Dome had been replenished. So, Iran may still be planning to do something, according to this video from Fox News. See, they expect a retaliation.
God chooses different ways to protect the Jewish people. First, he parted the Red Sea, in Exodus. Then, in Esther, Haiman ends up hanging on his own noose. Thats what Greg Laurie, said this morning, about God’s intervention on behalf of Israel.
I wanted to share another video with you, real quick.
This video is from Watchman1963. He wondered whether the prophecy regarding Elam is being fulfilled.
I really like the Watchman, though I doubt Trump would survive a review by the Watchman. Still, he has good information, and he always shares the Good News in all of His videos. Please, be informed, trust God. In the end, He wins! He is not finished with the work He started, at the Creation.
I had to calm myself down, because I was upset about Blizzard’s maintenance on a Wednesday. So, I made a pot of coffee, and smoked a couple of cigarettes. Ah, yes. Now, where to begin in my writing?
I guess I will just start with the first thing I did today. I got my oil changed, in my car. But I wanted to be the first person in line to get my oil changed. I hate waiting around, for now apparent reason. I googled the place I was going to go, to check the hours. It said “Open 7:30 AM”. So, at just before 6:30 AM, I took off and bought a 7/11 and cigarettes. Then, headed to Valvoline.
I knew I had a long time to wait as I pulled up to the oil place. It was only about 6:45 AM. The attendant was already there, and he politely told me that they would be open at 7:30 AM despite some of his employees being late. I was so relieved. Not sure what else to do, I began reading my book. I read about three chapters of Bibi, while I waited. The chapters aren’t very long.
AT 7:30 AM, they had me pull my car in to get the oil changed. Finally, I thought. It didn’t take very long, 15 minutes to be exact. Thats pretty good. They had several recommendations for maintenance. I asked for a print off, and I will discuss each one with my Dad. Maybe one of them is time sensitive and needs to be done shortly.
Bibi, My Story
So, I told you earlier, I was reading a book. A couple weeks ago I heard an interview between Bibi and Dr. Robert Jeffress of the First Baptist at Dallas church. It was a good interview, but during the interview Bibi, Prime Minister of Israel, plugged his book. So, I ordered it. The man pulls no punches- first off, he admits he has killed people. But secondly, he also admits his emphatically in love with Israel and the Jewish people.
One thing I have learned, reading through the book was with Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. Now, Israel is poised to take it back. If you ask me, Gaza belongs to Israel! They shouldn’t be giving up territory. Israel is already a tiny country as it is!
My Mom and I had a brief discussion about Israel. SHe said, “They are the people of God”. I admit, she is right. What is more, the Messiah, Jesus, comes from them! In fact, He was born as King of the Jews! He will return. Abraham is still alive, according to Jesus. That means the promises of God, to Abraham are still alive. God bless Israel! Long live the House of David!!
Anyways, I am just here now, hoping the maintenance ends soon. My plan is to level my warlock’s herbalism a bit more so he can pick herbs in Desolace. His herbalism isn’t high enough yet. Now, let me look at doing the daily prompt. The daily prompt is about my favorite childhood book. So, I will do that one. Have a good day!
Wow, this question seems a bit deeper than a lot of the questions I see on here. I think I am not a very good judge of character. On my own. But with God in my life, I let Him be the judge. So, I do alright. I try to obey what I find in the Bible, and what I have heard in Church. Then, His judgement, and not mine, comes into play. Am I perfect in applying His judgement? No. I find myself sometimes wondering whether we truly understand all the scriptures. I read somewhere that there are over 40,000 different translations of scripture. So, its possible to be missing something. But with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you cannot go wrong.
When I speak about the Holy Ghost, I am not speaking about Him in a Pentacostal understanding. I mean, that when we accept Jesus into our life, the Holy Ghost will guide us, and take over. Tastes will change, the way you live will change, the way you see the world will change too. This happened to me. When I was in the NAVY, even though I was a Christian, I would go party. I would listen to all sorts of music. Now, I don’t party, and I don’t listen to much non-Christian music.
So, when you have the wisdom of the Holy Ghost leading you, you will make different decisions. I don’t often speak about this- because I don’t want to be boastful. Were it just up to me, I would still be partying and listening to every kind of music. But something took over. It wasn’t like a change in taste, because I tried going out still, and listening to non-Christian music- and I found myself not enjoying it.
I do not believe everyone grows the same. You know, you might be a Christian and still be partying, and listening to non-Christian music. Those are really just examples of things that still changed in my life. Somethings have not changed- for example, I still smoke. I do not view smoking as a sin, but I do think it is a nasty habit. Nevertheless, I continue to smoke. But I don’t usually have much alcohol. I do not think its just my restraint, but it is the Holy Ghost that causes this, somehow. I could fill a book, and never really be able to explain it to you. Do you understand what I mean?
My Reading
Here is the book I have been reading. I have been reading it the last few weeks. I just finished reading, and was inspired by the subject material to do a little bit of writing myself. Paul: A Biography, turned out to be really good.
One thing I really liked about this book, is it was a biography on Paul. I have always wanted to read a book about Paul, to see what someone else has to say about him. Because of his relationship with Jesus, I believe, he ended up having an enormous impact on the world. But it wasn’t for his own purpose, it was for the sake of Christ. Paul is the man, who God chose to take the gospel to the Gentiles. Currently, the Gentiles rule the world. Imagine that.
Another thing I really liked about this book, were the maps that detailed Paul’s journeys. He went on no less than three missionary journeys to spread the gospel. Paul went back to Corinth about three times. One time, the Corinthians rejected him. Hence, his many visits. But at the end, they decided to contribute funds to support the church in Jerusalem.
The last chapter I was puzzled by somethings, however. For example, the author relays a story from 2 Kings. Where some angels confounded the troops of Assyria. Well, the author through another source, attributes this miraculous event, to mice gnawing at the draw strings, of the bows that the Assyrians were going to use.
Another thing that the author does, which I am not to sure about. He ties in Paul’s Jewish background, as being the source which Paul used to spread the gospel, including the recital of the Shema. I think when Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus, however, Paul put those things away. There is a verse where Paul says, “When I was a child, I did childish things, but when I became a man I put those things away”. So, I am not sure where this verse comes from, but it is very telling. Because the man who was on the road to Damascus was a completely different man from the man on the road to Athens.
See how we have a contrast here. Saul of Tarsus was going to Damascus to destroy the church. Because of his Jewish zeal, we are told. Yet, at the same time, we are told, in the book, that Paul was on the road to Athens to spread the Good News, ALSO because of his Jewish zeal. But after his conversion, on the road to Damascus, you see, Paul put those things away. We see this over, and over, when Paul confronts the Jewish believers in Jerusalem about the Gentile believers, beginning to fill the church. Paul did not require them to be circumcised. Titus, was uncircumcised. However, the author notes later, that Paul circumcised Timothy.
So, we have a case where Paul does one sacrament of the Jewish faith, and the author is claiming that Paul fell back on his Jewish roots. But when you pay attention, to what Paul says, I believe, it is clear he really did not do that. Paul was dependent on Jesus to fulfill his duties, before God. That is why Jesus said to Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you”. Paul didn’t need those things, because he had Jesus. Which really made him who he was. Without Jesus, there would be no Paul. I am not saying that he didn’t use the knowledge he had, however. He certainly did, and he had a lot of knowledge.
Here is where it gets tricky. I believe God, through the events of History, and through the birth of Jesus, prepared the world to actually be able to receive the Good News. Rome, and before that, Alexander the Great, and even the Persians, and Babylonians had been used by God to position Israel where she was in those days, as Judea. Then, Jesus appears to Saul, who became Paul, and from that God directed things in Paul’s life that led him to have an impact.
Peter was also an Apostle of Jesus. Initially, the Angel told Peter to go to the household of Cornelius, a Gentile, and to preach about Him. But even though Peter did this, we see things later, that make it clear to us, Peter was not equipped with the same understanding and heart as Paul had. Because Paul has to confront Peter about the way he handled himself in front of the non-Jewish believers. I don’t think it was just based on Jewish-teachings that gave Paul the insight to be able to reach the gentiles, it was actually a combination of His new heart from Jesus, and the Holy Spirit guiding him. The reason I say this is because of another scripture. I just thought of it, and now I forgot it.
The author does point out however, that Paul did have love. For the Philippians, for the Thessalonians, and for the Corinthians. That is why he suffered so much. Five times he was whipped, he was stoned, and he was imprisoned. All so that he could bring the Good News of Jesus to the Gentiles.
The author was not sure where Paul went after his two years in Rome. The author supposed, it was possible he had made it as far as Britain. He referenced a hymn or a song to support the claim. But he also claimed it was possible, that Paul either went to Spain, or back to Jerusalem and to visit the churches once more. Or, perhaps, after his two years of house a rest, his appeal reached Caeser and Paul may have been beheaded there- or years later. So, it is not clear when Paul died. But the author supposed, that when he died that Paul had on his lips the version of the Shema he had made, that he opens his letters with.
I hope you enjoyed reading this short review of Paul: A Biography. Most of the references for this book, are contained within the text. However, I would recommend keeping a Bible handy, because the author jumps around a lot from one letter to the next. To keep from getting confused, you can look up each book, and he gives some passages that when I read them, really gave clarity to what the author, and Paul were saying. Enjoy! Merry Christmas!!!
