What is your favorite season of year? Why?

Well, I am in Texas. So, my favorite season of the year, is Fall, or Autumn. It begins to cool down, and the rain starts to come. Christmas and Thanksgiving are around the bend, too. As is my birthday.

List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?

The first book I want to list is probably the most important book. Tom Clancy’s Debt Of Honor. It was such a complex read, and my first Tom Clancy book. The Japanese fulfill there debt of honor to the United States. It gave a unique look into the culture of Japan. Billy recommended that book- kind of.

The second book ended up being I Kissed Dating Goodbye. I read it right before I finished High School.

My Third book, is none other than Ben Hur. I was fascinated by the detail in the book, the description of Jerusalem. Also SneffPoppy wanted me to read it. It was a great book. It detailed the story of the three wisemen. Cannot help but think he was right. I found an original print copy from 1902 at the Everett Public Library.

I also really enjoyed the post-trilogy Star Wars books. For there time, that was all we had- the trilogy and the books. Each one was better than the last one.

Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.

Is that I take a walk. It doesn’t matter how long the walk is either. Sometimes I walk as far as the park. Other times, I only manage to make it to the store, around the corner. Nevertheless, I find comfort and joy in going for a walk. It helps if I have music, too.

How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?

I am a night owl. So, I often sit at my laptop well past midnight. Ok, for now, because I don’t have a job. It seems like time is going by faster, and faster. I look at the clock and it’s 8:30- time to take my medicine. By the time I look at the clock again, it is already midnight. So, to unplug I shut my laptop. Lately, I have been sleeping on my back. Sleeping on my back helps me to unplug. Usually, when I run out of coffee- that is when I unplug.

I just have to say- this question was the most thought provoking so far. I enjoyed writing the response. Thank you for reading it.

What jobs have you had?

I was in the NAVY twice. I worked as a recreational aide for MWR. I worked as a FedEx Package Handler. Then, I worked for Albertsons as a Courtesy Clerk/Sanitation Worker. I quit my job at Albertsons to become a Security Guard. I wanted to become a security guard because they pay more. After I moved to Everett, Washington I began working as a Custodian at Goodwill. Now, I don’t have a job, but I contacted my old employer, DefenseTex. I also am working with a program through Goodwill to find employment.

I believe in Jesus. It is more than just religion. It is a relationship. Jesus is my Master and Friend.
