On the way home I listened to Pathway to Victory. I usually do about that time. Robert Jeffress is the mastermind behind Pathway to victory. He usually preaches convicting sermons. But lately, he has been teaching American History, including court cases, and records of the founders. He is making the case that America is a Christian nation. well, he read a quote by George Washington.
It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favors.
George Washington
I found the quote on Facebook. I shared it on my YouTube as a post. The quote is what Robert Jeffress used to provide the groundwork for the argument that America, despite what the secularists say, is a Christian nation.
Also I wanted to share my YouTube short. Its my latest one.
It is about Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill. How I feel, that most of it will never be implemented, because Congress and our government detest Trump! Like and Sbuscribe.
Today, I was at work. At my work, as long as I file my report every hour, or thirty minutes, I can kind of carry on how I want. As long as I am visible. So, what do I do? I study about God! Also the things going on. Such as in Israel, or even in America in Los Angeles and around the nation.
A part of my goal, is to spread information on my blog, and on YouTube, from various sources. FOX News, or CNN, they are a search bar away, from you finding out what they have to say. But this is not the case, with everyday Americans, or people, or organizations, that may have something to say. I found one such source today. I watched, and decided to feature this person’s message.
This was the first video I found, that she made. I was just browsing through YouTube looking for something to fill the time. But it seems the Lord wanted me to fill my time with someone- who loves Him, and shares the message of “repent”! But she didn’t just talk about repentance. She discussed sexual sin, in particular. Its interesting, because Paul wrote a lot about sexual sin. She quotes some of it here. But she said there is a solution!
That solution, is repentance and changing your life style. To often, the church ignores this very thing, sexual sin. Which is so sad- because Paul wrote extensively about sexual sin. He wrote that those guilty of sexual sin, will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. You better wake up!
This was the second video that she made, which I saw. There are more, and I will watch some tomorrow. But its very fascinating, because she said she stands with Israel in this video. Plus, she discussed the rapture with her viewers. I recommend watching both videos. In both, she discussed the dreams people have been having. I think people are beginning to wake up. Its refreshing that she discussed Israel a bit.
To often, the church doesn’t discuss things going on. Watch, Sunday will roll around, and I bet there will not be a peep about what happened in Iran and Israel. But it seems so obvious to me- that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled as we are watching. She even said at one point, “If you asked someone in the 90s about what was happening today, they wouldn’t believe it”. I realize we are supposed to be Heavenly minded. But didn’t the idea of “News” originally come from the church? That was why Martin Luther hung his Theses on the door of the church! Jesus also said to keep a watch and be vigilant. The only pastor I ever hear mention anything relevant going on, is Dr. Robert Jeffress. Thats why I follow his service. But even he would not go so far as to call it all “biblical” prophecy.
I wanted to share my blog, and I will also share my YouTube on my blog. Hopefully, I don’t get any strikes, because my whole point is to help this person get there message about repentance out. I think of her, as the “Cannon of God”! Yep. What a profound message. Hopefully, people will see this message, so they can respond to it.
Well, anyways I am going to go play World of Warcraft. You enjoy this, and please watch the messages. You won’t regret it.
Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth. The Earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water. The Spirit of God was hovering over the water.
God created the Heavens and the Earth. God also protects His covenant children. What if Benjamin Netanyahu is God’s method of protecting Israel currently? Just the other day, I was reading in his book, and he had explained that a preemptive strike is the best way, to protect Israel from annihilation.
Israel has bombed Iran. During the bombings they killed several key leaders. Because the attacks are described as “preemptive”, I guess this means Iran was going to, or was planning to do something. But Israel turned the tables on them. I have decided to share the Trump response with you.
See how in the video, the speaker says “There are no surprises here”. Trump knew this was coming, and he had someone warn one of our allies in the Middle East. They never said who the ally was, but my guess would be Saudi Arabia.
See, how in the video he says “We will defend Israel if necessary” and also the Iron Dome had been replenished. So, Iran may still be planning to do something, according to this video from Fox News. See, they expect a retaliation.
God chooses different ways to protect the Jewish people. First, he parted the Red Sea, in Exodus. Then, in Esther, Haiman ends up hanging on his own noose. Thats what Greg Laurie, said this morning, about God’s intervention on behalf of Israel.
I wanted to share another video with you, real quick.
This video is from Watchman1963. He wondered whether the prophecy regarding Elam is being fulfilled.
I really like the Watchman, though I doubt Trump would survive a review by the Watchman. Still, he has good information, and he always shares the Good News in all of His videos. Please, be informed, trust God. In the end, He wins! He is not finished with the work He started, at the Creation.
I had to calm myself down, because I was upset about Blizzard’s maintenance on a Wednesday. So, I made a pot of coffee, and smoked a couple of cigarettes. Ah, yes. Now, where to begin in my writing?
I guess I will just start with the first thing I did today. I got my oil changed, in my car. But I wanted to be the first person in line to get my oil changed. I hate waiting around, for now apparent reason. I googled the place I was going to go, to check the hours. It said “Open 7:30 AM”. So, at just before 6:30 AM, I took off and bought a 7/11 and cigarettes. Then, headed to Valvoline.
I knew I had a long time to wait as I pulled up to the oil place. It was only about 6:45 AM. The attendant was already there, and he politely told me that they would be open at 7:30 AM despite some of his employees being late. I was so relieved. Not sure what else to do, I began reading my book. I read about three chapters of Bibi, while I waited. The chapters aren’t very long.
AT 7:30 AM, they had me pull my car in to get the oil changed. Finally, I thought. It didn’t take very long, 15 minutes to be exact. Thats pretty good. They had several recommendations for maintenance. I asked for a print off, and I will discuss each one with my Dad. Maybe one of them is time sensitive and needs to be done shortly.
Bibi, My Story
So, I told you earlier, I was reading a book. A couple weeks ago I heard an interview between Bibi and Dr. Robert Jeffress of the First Baptist at Dallas church. It was a good interview, but during the interview Bibi, Prime Minister of Israel, plugged his book. So, I ordered it. The man pulls no punches- first off, he admits he has killed people. But secondly, he also admits his emphatically in love with Israel and the Jewish people.
One thing I have learned, reading through the book was with Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. Now, Israel is poised to take it back. If you ask me, Gaza belongs to Israel! They shouldn’t be giving up territory. Israel is already a tiny country as it is!
My Mom and I had a brief discussion about Israel. SHe said, “They are the people of God”. I admit, she is right. What is more, the Messiah, Jesus, comes from them! In fact, He was born as King of the Jews! He will return. Abraham is still alive, according to Jesus. That means the promises of God, to Abraham are still alive. God bless Israel! Long live the House of David!!
Anyways, I am just here now, hoping the maintenance ends soon. My plan is to level my warlock’s herbalism a bit more so he can pick herbs in Desolace. His herbalism isn’t high enough yet. Now, let me look at doing the daily prompt. The daily prompt is about my favorite childhood book. So, I will do that one. Have a good day!
Wow, this question seems a bit deeper than a lot of the questions I see on here. I think I am not a very good judge of character. On my own. But with God in my life, I let Him be the judge. So, I do alright. I try to obey what I find in the Bible, and what I have heard in Church. Then, His judgement, and not mine, comes into play. Am I perfect in applying His judgement? No. I find myself sometimes wondering whether we truly understand all the scriptures. I read somewhere that there are over 40,000 different translations of scripture. So, its possible to be missing something. But with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you cannot go wrong.
When I speak about the Holy Ghost, I am not speaking about Him in a Pentacostal understanding. I mean, that when we accept Jesus into our life, the Holy Ghost will guide us, and take over. Tastes will change, the way you live will change, the way you see the world will change too. This happened to me. When I was in the NAVY, even though I was a Christian, I would go party. I would listen to all sorts of music. Now, I don’t party, and I don’t listen to much non-Christian music.
So, when you have the wisdom of the Holy Ghost leading you, you will make different decisions. I don’t often speak about this- because I don’t want to be boastful. Were it just up to me, I would still be partying and listening to every kind of music. But something took over. It wasn’t like a change in taste, because I tried going out still, and listening to non-Christian music- and I found myself not enjoying it.
I do not believe everyone grows the same. You know, you might be a Christian and still be partying, and listening to non-Christian music. Those are really just examples of things that still changed in my life. Somethings have not changed- for example, I still smoke. I do not view smoking as a sin, but I do think it is a nasty habit. Nevertheless, I continue to smoke. But I don’t usually have much alcohol. I do not think its just my restraint, but it is the Holy Ghost that causes this, somehow. I could fill a book, and never really be able to explain it to you. Do you understand what I mean?
My Reading
Here is the book I have been reading. I have been reading it the last few weeks. I just finished reading, and was inspired by the subject material to do a little bit of writing myself. Paul: A Biography, turned out to be really good.
One thing I really liked about this book, is it was a biography on Paul. I have always wanted to read a book about Paul, to see what someone else has to say about him. Because of his relationship with Jesus, I believe, he ended up having an enormous impact on the world. But it wasn’t for his own purpose, it was for the sake of Christ. Paul is the man, who God chose to take the gospel to the Gentiles. Currently, the Gentiles rule the world. Imagine that.
Another thing I really liked about this book, were the maps that detailed Paul’s journeys. He went on no less than three missionary journeys to spread the gospel. Paul went back to Corinth about three times. One time, the Corinthians rejected him. Hence, his many visits. But at the end, they decided to contribute funds to support the church in Jerusalem.
The last chapter I was puzzled by somethings, however. For example, the author relays a story from 2 Kings. Where some angels confounded the troops of Assyria. Well, the author through another source, attributes this miraculous event, to mice gnawing at the draw strings, of the bows that the Assyrians were going to use.
Another thing that the author does, which I am not to sure about. He ties in Paul’s Jewish background, as being the source which Paul used to spread the gospel, including the recital of the Shema. I think when Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus, however, Paul put those things away. There is a verse where Paul says, “When I was a child, I did childish things, but when I became a man I put those things away”. So, I am not sure where this verse comes from, but it is very telling. Because the man who was on the road to Damascus was a completely different man from the man on the road to Athens.
See how we have a contrast here. Saul of Tarsus was going to Damascus to destroy the church. Because of his Jewish zeal, we are told. Yet, at the same time, we are told, in the book, that Paul was on the road to Athens to spread the Good News, ALSO because of his Jewish zeal. But after his conversion, on the road to Damascus, you see, Paul put those things away. We see this over, and over, when Paul confronts the Jewish believers in Jerusalem about the Gentile believers, beginning to fill the church. Paul did not require them to be circumcised. Titus, was uncircumcised. However, the author notes later, that Paul circumcised Timothy.
So, we have a case where Paul does one sacrament of the Jewish faith, and the author is claiming that Paul fell back on his Jewish roots. But when you pay attention, to what Paul says, I believe, it is clear he really did not do that. Paul was dependent on Jesus to fulfill his duties, before God. That is why Jesus said to Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you”. Paul didn’t need those things, because he had Jesus. Which really made him who he was. Without Jesus, there would be no Paul. I am not saying that he didn’t use the knowledge he had, however. He certainly did, and he had a lot of knowledge.
Here is where it gets tricky. I believe God, through the events of History, and through the birth of Jesus, prepared the world to actually be able to receive the Good News. Rome, and before that, Alexander the Great, and even the Persians, and Babylonians had been used by God to position Israel where she was in those days, as Judea. Then, Jesus appears to Saul, who became Paul, and from that God directed things in Paul’s life that led him to have an impact.
Peter was also an Apostle of Jesus. Initially, the Angel told Peter to go to the household of Cornelius, a Gentile, and to preach about Him. But even though Peter did this, we see things later, that make it clear to us, Peter was not equipped with the same understanding and heart as Paul had. Because Paul has to confront Peter about the way he handled himself in front of the non-Jewish believers. I don’t think it was just based on Jewish-teachings that gave Paul the insight to be able to reach the gentiles, it was actually a combination of His new heart from Jesus, and the Holy Spirit guiding him. The reason I say this is because of another scripture. I just thought of it, and now I forgot it.
The author does point out however, that Paul did have love. For the Philippians, for the Thessalonians, and for the Corinthians. That is why he suffered so much. Five times he was whipped, he was stoned, and he was imprisoned. All so that he could bring the Good News of Jesus to the Gentiles.
The author was not sure where Paul went after his two years in Rome. The author supposed, it was possible he had made it as far as Britain. He referenced a hymn or a song to support the claim. But he also claimed it was possible, that Paul either went to Spain, or back to Jerusalem and to visit the churches once more. Or, perhaps, after his two years of house a rest, his appeal reached Caeser and Paul may have been beheaded there- or years later. So, it is not clear when Paul died. But the author supposed, that when he died that Paul had on his lips the version of the Shema he had made, that he opens his letters with.
I hope you enjoyed reading this short review of Paul: A Biography. Most of the references for this book, are contained within the text. However, I would recommend keeping a Bible handy, because the author jumps around a lot from one letter to the next. To keep from getting confused, you can look up each book, and he gives some passages that when I read them, really gave clarity to what the author, and Paul were saying. Enjoy! Merry Christmas!!!
The other day, I worked twice. That is why I have not been on here. Nor have I made much progress in my book, about Paul. Yet, I am nearing the end of it. Paul is on his way to Rome. Destiny and History are about to collide. Destiny being the Roman Empire, and History being the light of Jesus shining for “The Jew first, but also for the Gentile”.
I decided to read Luke, for Advent. It is a productive thing. I am learning so much about Jesus. One thing I learned about Jesus, is that He said “Not to worry, because we are more valuable to God than the birds of the air, or the grass of the field”, and yet he has them numbered too. He knows each one, and its purpose.
I also made it to my appointment finally, for Voc Rehab. I was surprised by how many people were logging in, just like me. Just as the orientation began. Now, I have a follow on appointment. But I had to reschedule it, due to a scheduling conflict. I have an appointment at the VA, with my provider at the same time. So, I was given the option to reschedule. But I will call the interviewer on Monday. To make sure it is rescheduled. I am so excited about Chapter 31. Hopefully, they will help me finish my degree! I am so close to being finished with it. But I need to finance it somehow. The GI Bill is about to run out.
I am listening to J.S. Bach art the moment. Its beautiful music. Wish I could dance to it, with some beautiful woman. It also helped me sleep well the other night. It helps me in my thinking too. What a gift, the music of Bach is from God. I am going to listen to Bach for the rest of my life. No rap, or R&B for me. That garbage is filthy. I believe, it is the end of an era. Thats why I am listening to Bach. Yes I am celebrating. The fall of Christianity in America, and the rise of the church in China means the Church in America is in big trouble.
As the Church in China grows, so does the power of China. This is the real reason for the growth of China as a power, is that the church is growing. Right now its being persecuted, yes. But watch- and learn. The church in China is growing. Whereas, in America, each year at Christmas, you can see America leaving God for new idols. Its so sad, and happening right in front of me. I believe it all began in 2007, too. Perhaps earlier too. When I did not care about such things. Turn back, America!
I will go get a hotdog at QT. I will write more later. I have so many things to say. I hope you enjoy, my writings over all. I try to make them encouraging, and uplifting. But the matter of America losing her faith in God, is one matter that cannot be ignored! America is dying to drugs. Thats a fact. These drugs give us a false sense of what God really wants of us.
You know those lineages in the Bible? There long. Boring, and if you lose your place at any point, you pretty much have to start all over. But I am going to show you a lineage that is not boring. Let me show you a lineage that is not boring! Joseph:
The Ancestors of Jesus
Luke 3: 23B Jesus, so people thought, was the son of Joseph, Son of Eli, Son of Matthat, son of Levi, Son of Melchi, son of Jannai, son of Joseph, 25 son of Mattathias, son of Amos, son of Nahum, son of Esli, son of Naggai, 26 son of Maath, son of Mattathias, son of Semein, son of Josech, son of Joda, 27 son of Joanan, son of Rhesa, son of Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, son of Neri, 28 son of Melchi, son of Addi, son of Cosam, son of Elmadam, son of Er, 29 son of Joshua, son of Eliezer, son of Jorim, son of Matthat, son of Levi, 30 son of Simeon, son of Judah, son of Joseph, son of Jonam, son of Eliakim, 31 son of Melea, son of Menna, son of Mattatha, son of Nathan, son of David, 32 son of Jesse, son of Obed, son of Boaz, son of Salmon, son of Nahshon, 33 son of Amminadab, son of Admin, son of Arni, son of Hezron, son of Perez, son of Judah, 34 son of Jacob, son of Isaac, son of Abraham, son of Terah, son of Nahor, 35 son of Serug, son of Reu, son of Peleg, son of Eber, son of Shelah, 36 son of Cainan, son of Arphaxad, son of Shem, son of Noah, son of Lamech, 37 son of Methuselah, son of Enoch, son of Jared, son of Mahalaleel, son of Cainan, son of Enos, son of Seth, son of Adam, son of God.
This is the lineage of Joseph, the husband of Mary, in the Bible. What I want you to notice, at the end, in bold is the phrase “son of God”. See how, Joseph is, because of the lineage of Jesus, a son of God.
I have been reading through Luke, for Advent. I came across this, and wanted to share it with you. I wrote it down, also so that I would remember it. Thank you for reading my blog!
You read that right. I am going to have to drop a class. I am enrolled for two classes, but I can currently only afford to pay for one. One class is Phil 2311 (Logic) which counts for Math- which I need. The other class is a “Russian Culture” class. It is obvious to you, which class I am going to have to drop. But we both know that the “Russian Culture” Class will be worth money after school. So- I am going to look for scholarships, and since I am in Texas I am going to see whether I am eligible for the Hazelwood Act, which covers the cost of the class.
It seems like I might have to drop a class. But, at UTA I have two things: Student Support Center, and the Veterans Assistance Center. I am going to go to the SSC to ask about scholarships, and to try and get a new ID. Then, afterwards, I am going to the VAC, to ask about the Hazelwood Act. If they make me finish using the Post-9/11 GI Bill, I will have to take a full load. In that case, I will put in my notice with Ranger Guard, to make sure I pass all my classes. I don’t want to do that, but I want to make sure I can:
Pay for my classes
Pass my classes
My GPA is garbage, right now. But I noticed UTA has scholarships for certain classes. What if “Russian Culture” turns out to be one of those classes? Also it appeared there might be scholarships for being a Junior. So, I will look for those kinds of scholarships. Its really interesting, how I have been blessed with unique relationships on campus, that MIGHT make taking both classes possible. If not- I will use the GI Bill.
Anyways, my Dad was about to throw out a “Voices of the Martyrs” publication. I decided to look through it first. Lets see what Richard Wurmbrand has to say, about casting out demons. In the article Why Could We Not, on the last two pages, the founder of “VOM”, had this to say, about the disciples who could not cast out a certain demon. Found Mark 9: 28. According to Richard, Marx, Engels, and Trotsky were only able to point out, the sins of others, and never there own. He says this:
Without confession and repentance, we will never succeed on the right path.
I think, this means its time to confess our sins. But to whom do we confess our sins too? A Priest. How interesting, because I, am considering attending the Catholic Church, Paul de Vincent, just down the street. Maybe, they have a Priest who takes confessions. See, how VOM has prompted me to take action about my faith? I hope its the right action- at times I feel lost in my faith. So, this might be a good first step. Ever since I went down there, at Billy Graham, with Carol.
VOM is a publication, which keeps track of persecution, and the persecuted church world wide. From China, even in Columbia, where it is said, some groups in that country are now persecuting Christians- and the Government does nothing about it. Isn’t Columbia supposed to be a Christian Country? But its listed right along with Nigeria, and the rest for its violence towards members of the Christian faith. Sad. The persecution is visibly spreading across the world. Wake up, dear reader! The enemy is at the gates!!
I still hurt. I had to block my cousin once removed. I won’t name them here. But I will elaborate. First off, my cousin went and voted for Kamala. They bragged about it too. Then, my cousin went and posted in favor of terrorist Hamas. The cousin does not make good decisions, for some reason. Last, but not least, I believe my cousin is the force that destroyed my single greatest relationship I ever developed with another human being. The cousin accomplished what they set out to do, and once completed, would not talk with me at all. Except to say, “Go away”, when I confronted them on supporting Hamas. So, I replied with “If I had children, I would not let you watch them”. My cousin would not hurt anyone, but I doubt that they would make good decisions for them. So- I blocked them, after “liking” there post, so that they would know I was complying. I am very sad, and heart broken over the entire ordeal. I will never fully understand why. I don’t want revenge, rather I want restoration. At this point, only Jesus can restore things- I believe He will too.
This is my current reading project. Fascinating, that right before I begin taking Logic at University, that I found a biography on, none other than Paul the Apostle. I believe it was a divine discovery at Barnes and Nobles. It was the final copy available, and someone else was already looking in that direction. So, I made sure that I was not stealing it from under there nose.
Anyways, I just finished Chapter 4 Antioch. By the fourth chapter I finally realized, to get the most out of this book, I need a copy of the Bible handy. I originally ignored the notes, but I found the information beginning in note 6 to be the most interesting to me. So, I copied the scriptures into my note book. The author, N.T. Wright was explaining about how Paul and Barnabas dealt with the question of non-Jews being among Jews, which was an offense to some. But it was because Paul feared he had labored in vain at times. Here is from Thessalonians 1.
2:1 You know, brothers and sisters, that our time with you was not wasted.
3:5 But when I couldn’t wait any longer, I sent Timothy to find out about your faith. I wanted to see whether the tempter had in someway tempted you, making our work meaningless.
Philippians 2:16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. Then I can brag on the day of Christ that my effort was not wasted and that my work produced results.
I wanted to include these notes because, I was compelled to write them down in my note book. In order to more correctly follow along. As I said earlier, this study of Paul will require having my Bible handy.
The author went into a little bit, explaining that the church at Antioch sought to meet the needs of the believers in Jerusalem. The believers in Antioch were non-Jewish primarily, and the Jews in Jerusalem were not exactly sure how to receive Titus, because he was not circumcised. Paul and Barnabas had brought Titus with them. Wright referenced Galatians 2. I will not transcribe it here, but you can reference it for yourself. In Galatians 2, Peter travels to Antioch, and at first would mingle with the non-Jewish believers. But later, he held back because of the Jewish believers who had followed him. Paul calls Peter a hypocrite, but I couldn’t help but notice his manner was slightly racist to, towards the non-Jewish believers.
I know the book is about Paul, and not Peter, but I felt compelled to address this issue. For precisely the reason that I posted Psalm 13. Both David, a man after God’s own heart, and Peter the Apostle had doubts and struggles with belief in God, and obeying God. Eventually, Peter makes his own journeys, the author mentions this, to Corinth and eventually to Rome. I remember Acts used to say that Peter went to Japan. That must have been a complete culture shock to him. Eventually, he overcame his racism somehow.
Anyways, its encouraging to know that Barnabas came to get Paul, and at this point, they have a unique partnership. But even Barnabas was persuaded by Peter, to abstain from eating and associating with the non-Jewish believers, the Christians. I enjoy reading all about these faithful followers of Jesus, and there faith struggles too. Just like we have today. It makes me thankful, that God has not thrown me aside, but that He has a purpose for me, especially in light of my broken heart. That is what prompted me to share all this. I had a sudden inspiration to write about what I was reading, but I related it to my sorrow too, because God meets us in our sorrows. We ought to give Him thanks for that, because if He didn’t do that, then all would be lost, and we would have no one to turn to in such cases. Jesus says in Revelations that for those who believe, “All things will be made new”. Please pray for me, because I am going through such a struggle.
My Mom sent me this video. It is about the Christian heritage of America. Including the founders who loved God. This video is the beginning of a series, in which the first video, defines what it means for America to be a Christian nation. Meaning, that our laws, our values, are Christian.
Its a reminder of things for our nation- and things for me, personally. For one, America needs to turn back to God. Things that are evil, have become the norm. While things that please God, have been spurned. America has made one step in the right direction- by re-electing Trump. But we really need to turn from our (For all have fallen short of the glory of God) wickedness. We need to stop pointing fingers, and repent.
Remember that Jesus is our Master and our Friend. When we call Jesus Lord, I do believe, and have experienced, that He enters our lives. Jesus has experienced all manner of temptation just as we have- and as He put it, “I have overcome the world”. Also Jesus said: “Greater love hath no man, than that he lay down his life for his friends”. Jesus laid down His life on the cross, for us. So, Jesus has gone above and beyond to be not only our Master, but our Friend too.
I am sitting here, listening to Christmas music, as I type this. I listen to Star 102.1, which plays all the Christmas music. They play the music through Christmas day. Hence, why I am probably talking about Jesus- His birthday is coming up. But first, we have Thanksgiving. This day was set aside to thank God for what He has done for our nation, and also to thank each other for the various sacrifices we make for each other. It is an important tradition, and I believe we should stick with it till Jesus returns. Along with Christmas.
So, anyways, I just find it to be a fascinating debate about the historical foundations of America being Christian. I remember reading in Rush Limbaugh’s book about the Pilgrims, how even the “Strangers” didn’t dare step off the ship, without first helping to form the Mayflower compact- and to pray. Before they even set foot on land, they had approached God. It seemed to work, because later they became a successful colony. Even though they didn’t land in Virginia as they had hoped.
This blogpost is about the video- I need to rewatch it so I can discuss the material- and I really think you should take a moment, to watch the introduction of the video to get an idea of what the speaker has to say about America’s Christian Heritage. Another reason I need to watch it, is because I want to return to school, and my major is History.
I really like the introduction. The speaker is Gary DeMar. The Title of the first part, is “Fact Or Fiction”. Gary argues, during the introduction, that you cannot appreciate America’s History, without understanding the Christian foundation of it. Just watch it- and appreciate the wisdom being put forth.
Now, for me personally. I believe things in my life, need to be dedicated to God. I have seen it over and over, when I leave God out- I fail. But when I have put God at the center- I met success. I think it will end up being the same thing for America- and I believe America is a preview of what the Millennium will look like, when Jesus reigns on this Earth. God bless you and thanks for reading my post!
