So, today I woke up at just before 11. I wanted to share this meme below, but I kept getting distracted. I intended to share it last night.
Searching this image on Google, I found a number of sources sharing it. It is such a haunting reminder, that those who follow Jesus will suffer persecution. Jesus said this would happen. Yet, the Fake News is completely silent about this. Why?
I used to have a map above my bed. From Voices of the Martyrs, and it showed every country where there is persecution. My Mom introduced me to VOM when I was in high school. I would sit by the heater, and read VOM and WORLD and I learned so many things from doing that. But one thing I am certain of is, that CNN, and even Fox News ignore persecution- because the scarry thing is, they are on the side of the persecutors. Thats quite an accusation. But Jesus Himself said this would happen.
Imagine for a moment, not being able to get food- and your crime is that you belong to the Son of Man. It is a very sobering reality, and it seems everyday the persecution gets more and more intense. But there is a beacon of hope in it all-
China
One of the places where persecution has been the most intense, is China. Those people go to jail for going to church, praying, worshipping, and reading a Bible that is NOT state approved. They have every reason not to go to church, and yet they go. I don’t believe its in vain either. I believe, that one day, China will be a Christian nation. It will turn China into a power. As Christianity spreads in China, it will become something that the government cannot stop- and it already is. There power is in danger, to the One who sits on the throne!
I don’t know of any way to help these Christians in Sudan. That was one thing I liked about Mike Pompei is that he was attentive to the persecution, during Trump’s first term. I regret that the media will not highlight that either- what Trump is doing to help the persecuted church. Bush did some things in Iraq, and they did not share this either.
