Is the Freedom to be a slave to Mistress Susan. To recite the creed and do as slave boy is told.

  • I Never Voted For Bush, or Obama

    Daily writing prompt
Do you vote in political elections?

In 2013, I was onboard USS Princeton. As I was walking from the smoke pit, to Radio, I had this thought. I realized nobody could beat Clinton- not even Ted Cruz. I thought, “What if Trump ran? He could beat Clinton.” Imagine my surprise, when in 2015 Trump declared his candidacy! As a Republican. I voted for Trump in 2016, 2020, and I am going to vote for Trump in 2024! Give your heart to Jesus, and your vote to Trump!

  • Why Do I Blog?

    Daily writing prompt
    Why do you blog?

Well, I blog for a number of reasons. For one, I have a need to write my thoughts out once in a while. I also enjoy having readers. Occasionally, by doing the writing prompts I have gotten additional followers. Whether they read my blog again or not is another story.

Another reason I blog, is because I have short term memory loss from my time in the NAVY. By writing things down, I can remember them much better. If I forget, I have written them down, so I can go look them up.

I also am in a major life transition. This makes it where I want to write, more and more. I wish I could catch you up on ALL of the things God has done for me. How I got a thirty day supply of my medicine, by going into Seattle. How I made it to the Evergreen State Fair, by going on Highway 2.

One day, I hope to write a book about my time in the NAVY. I think that will inspire others to write about there time in the NAVY. So, in order to prepare for that, I have decided to blog. In the end, I just want to share my thoughts. But I had to explain all this, for you to be able to grasp why it, ultimately, that I blog. Quite simply- I enjoy it.

  • Top Ten Favorite Movies

    Daily writing prompt
What are your top ten favorite movies?

I sit down, thinking I don’t need to do the writing prompt- only to end up doing the writing prompt. It is hard to choose my favorite movies. But I have several in mind. The list might be longer than just ten.

Top Gun: Maverick because I really feel like that was Tom Cruise’s masterpiece- although Vanilla Sky was pretty good too.

Sound of Music, its interesting, because the older I get, the more I get out of watching that movie. Especially the History. Well, I am a History Major, so that makes sense.

Saving Private Ryan. I remember watching that one, in the theater when it first came out. The opening scenes were just so traumatic. But in the end, it ends up being a good story.

Sweet Home Alabama I really liked that one. It was a cute film, about a girl who lives in New York who returns to her home in Alabama. After re-connecting with everyone, she marries her old lover from High School. Starring Reese Witherspoon.

The Ring is my favorite scarry movie. I like how, the film makers made it scarry without any gore, or blood. Just such a brilliant film. Some of the antics from the film have made there way into Popular culture.

The Guns Of Naverrone with Gregory Peck is another great war film. It shows a story about a little known action, to silence some German Guns.

Star Wars I love the original Star Wars movies. There were books written about what happened after. I always enjoyed reading those. Not sure what Disney was thinking, when it made its version of Star Wars, but as a series I think it worked out though, to be alright. My friend Billy introduced me, and my brother to Star Wars. I was hooked, as a child.

Jurassic Park is another one I like. Even as an adult, many of the scenes from the original are still scarry, with the lighting and everything. It was impressive, the very first time too.

Star Trek IV I am not as big of a fan of Star Trek, as I am of Star Wars. I just don’t get, most of Star Trek, is why. But each time I watch it, the fourth film is enjoyable, and it came to mind when I saw the writing prompt. Thank you, WordPress!

Chronicles Of Riddick. I really enjoyed that movie. I know, it is supposed to be an alternative to Star Wars, which it could never truly be. I love the way the film ends, even though I get a little sad when she dies. It is such a surprising ending though. Riddick goes from a fugitive, on the run. To leading a powerful “ghost” army.

Pitch Black not as much as I enjoy Riddick, but I like how you get to know some of the characters in Riddick, especially the girl, and how she helps Riddick.

The Passion of the Christ, which I saw in Perth Australia.

Also Battleship which I saw in Japan.

Well, that makes thirteen films. But I had to really think about the last two, but here it is. My top ten favorite movies.

  • I Feel Affection

    Daily writing prompt
What positive emotion do you feel most often?

Thats the one for me. I feel affection for my family. I am up, in Washington State, waiting to hear back from a job interview, and I actually miss my family. But, I am happy to be in Washington State. Not sure for how long, but I see God’s hand in this, so I need to give it a shot I believe. Whatever happens.

  • Three Things I Would Change

    Daily writing prompt
Describe your life in an alternate universe.

For one, I would not have been born with Asperger’s Syndrome. I wish I could change that about myself, and be a normie. Having Asperger’s Syndrome has caused many problems in my life. For one, I got kicked out of the NAVY, not once, but twice. For another, I ended up having to drop out of college on top of that. I expect I will never be able to get a government job now, because I might have issues with my clearance. But I will not give up. I also think that Asperger’s Syndrome prevented me from being able to get married- but I think thats because I was not yet diagnosed. Had I been diagnosed, it might have been a different story. Oh, well.

Second thing I would change, would be never getting kicked out of the NAVY. I never saw my discharge coming. Eventually, no matter how long you are in, you have to get out eventually. But being kicked out? What a nightmare. I fear it will never end. I never really did anything to be kicked out. When I had issues, I sought help. Now, I am sitting in Cheyenne, Wyoming because I am not sure what to do with myself. I am excited for my journey, it was fun driving here. I saw a lot of Colorado. I also am going to enjoy this summer weather in Cheyenne. I have the History channel on.

Thirdly, I never would have taken up smoking. Smoking is nasty, it smells. I feel like smoking helped to create an impression, with my supervisors in the NAVY. This impression lead to me eventually having to get out, before I could retire. I also feel that smoking pushed some girls away, that I was interested in. It probably prevented me from ever having a family. Over all, the impression people get when they see me smoke, seems negative. People who do not know I smoke, treat me differently. Its also been extremely difficult to quit. The longest time I was able to quit smoking was for four months in San Diego, California. Then, a day came where I wanted a cigarette, and could not figure out what to do next. I quit several times before and after that, with no success. Infact, my smoking increased in volume.

In conclusion, I wish I had never been born with Asperger’s. Asperger’s syndrome has ruined my life more than once. Yet, I did meet Scott. Scott is the turn around. I wish I had never gotten out of the NAVY. I also wish I had never taken up smoking. So far, my life is full of bad decisions. Well, Eve Online just finished updating. Time for a cigarette, and then to play some Eve. Have a good day! Thank you for reading my blog.

  • Stay Active

    Daily writing prompt
What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?

I do not like going to the gym. Gyms have a smell that I do not like. So, I do my best to stay active, in my job, in my interests, whatever it is. At work, I walk around the warehouse, for example. Thats plenty of exercise for me. Right now, though I am taking a vacation from work. I am going to take a road trip to Michigan. I think that will help my well-being, whereas staying active helps my health.

  • A Road Trip To Michigan

    Daily writing prompt
What are your future travel plans?

Thats it for me. I am planning to go see Billy. But I have to get there before the 4th of August.

Billy is a childhood friend, and a very special person in my life. We played Axis & Allies, Billy also introduced me to Star Wars, including the books we read. I hope we will be able to catch up. I have not seen Billy in many years. Last time I did, Billy came down to Texas. Billy doesn’t like Texas. So, I am determined to visit him in Michigan.

  • I Would Reintroduce Biblical Instruction and Prayer Back Into The Schools

    Daily writing prompt
What would you change about modern society?

we have so many school shootings. Ever since the shooting at Columbine, which is the first school shooting I remember happening. There were school shootings before this. But I definitely believe, from my own life experience, that learning the Bible in school, and while growing up is so important. My Mom homeschooled me K-12 and taught the Bible all the way through. She read the gospels, the Psalms, the creation, the Proverbs, so many other things. At one point, for my daily reading, Mom had me reading the book of Romans. My Mom also prayed.

Yet we had firearms in the house. I never once thought about bringing a gun to a school, and shooting other people. I knew, that life is precious, and it must be protected and cherished. Its interesting how so many people will be without the knowledge of the scriptures. This had a tremendous effect on my adult years. sometimes, when I came to a life decision, I was grateful for the Biblical instruction growing up, because I would consider what the Bible had to say. At times, I experienced God’s goodness- and I knew I had experienced God’s goodness, because of the scriptures. Sometimes, I think I have witnessed other people experience God’s goodness, but because they did not know the scriptures, they were not sure that this was the case. But I knew.

Consider this scripture: Genesis 1:1 In The Beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. God provides the good things in this life. I believe God works both directly, and indirectly, within our lives, and around us. We have life, because that is how God wants it. This same expression is expressed elsewhere in the Bible. Look at John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. If we did not have Genesis, we would still have the truth of creation, and Genesis 1:1 in John 1:1. In the Beginning… is how they both begin. So, both the gospel and the creation start the same way. Coincidence? I think not.

I believe people have an innate desire to know God, and to know just who He is. So, when we receive this information when we are younger, we benefit from it much more. Also, when you are younger, you may have questions, and it is easier to get a better answer. So, I believe I was blessed by God, with a Mom who taught Biblical wisdom, and hence I was and am blessed throughout my life. In between Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1 we find Proverbs 1:8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:.

From beginning to end, God has it set up how He wants us to do things. This includes honoring and obeying our parents, even when we do not want too. As best we can, even when we are older we still need to honor them. My friend Scott, is a great example of honoring his parents. Sometimes, even for me, I think he goes a bit far, letting them dictate when he comes home. But, maybe Scott just wants to make sure he helps his parents.

  • Playing Computer Games

    Daily writing prompt
Which activities make you lose track of time?

Even when I was a kid. I would always lose track of the time, while I played my computer game. One time, my parents had to go into Seattle for my Mom’s leg, which she had an operation on. I spent the whole time playing Command & Conquer, three hours. Thats just one example. When I first joined the NAVY, I was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. I was supposed to be in FCAC (N32) but I was in I Division doing maintenance and clean up. So, in my off time, I would spend a lot of time playing computer games, like Command and Conquer Generals, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. I would listen to a Green Day disc while I sat on my bed, playing on my laptop. I miss those days. I was bored, but I found it easy to keep myself entertained. While I waited to deploy.
