  • Coffee

Yes, I am drinking it right now. I love to drink coffee when I write. I hope, I will remember this in school this time. Because I enjoy having coffee while I write because, I think coffee “fuels” creativity in me, for some reason. I don’t find myself needing to smoke while I write. Sometimes I take breaks and smoke. I am drinking it black right now, but sometimes I like a little cream or sugar. I do like Starbucks too, but mostly just regular coffee works for me.

I am drinking coffee right now, because I need to stay up. I work tomorrow, at 11:00 PM. I plan to get my rest during the day. I got a lot of rest last night, so I think I will be able to stay up, till the wee hours of the morning. In the meantime, as you can see, I am getting some writing done in my blog. So, I made a full pot, and I am two cups in.

I am also listening to Christmas music. I have it up louder than I had it before. So, I just shared that so you can picture me, coffee cup in hand, Christmas music playing, and me typing away.

I have never liked tea. I remember my first sip of it, and I didn’t like it. I never developed a taste for tea. Hot or cold. But hot coffee, is delicious to me. My first sip of coffee, I wanted another sip! It was my therapist’s coffee, up in Washington State. I still remember the smoothness of the coffee as it went down for the first time.

This was the train I went and visited in Washington State. I went and saw it in March. I just started driving on I-5, got off the interstate and found Highway 20, and on the sign it said “Newhalem ‘x’ miles”. So, I started driving, and just kept driving for hours in order to find it.

I used to see this train when I was growing up. It still looks the same. But it is such a neat memory. Either my family would load up, and drive out there, or sometimes people would come up from Texas to visit us. this was one of the spots where we would take them. There is a mile long nature trail, across a bridge. The trail leads to a source of electrical power for Seattle.

This is where the conductor would stand. I took a picture of this, not sure why. But I decided to include it here. After I saw the train, and walked the trail, and sat by the river for a little bit, I began driving back to Everett. Thank you for reading my blog! I feel like I am writing just for you.

  • Elon Musk

I do not trust Elon Musk. I respect him. I think he will do an outstanding job, with the “DOGE”. I just think Elon might have his own ideas is all. Even though I do not trust Elon Musk, here is why I respect him.

Elon Musk posts a lot on his Social Media app, “X”. One of the things he likes to say a lot is that, “We are the media now”, so to speak. He constantly speaks this refrain, and I believe it is true. Also, Elon Musk has successfully launched rockets. When we go to Mars, Elon, and Trump (a little bit) will get the credit. For one, Elon says we have the technology to build a base on Mars.

I was impressed with Elon. When he bought “Twitter” (X) in June, 2022 I became a fan. Elon took a liberal sound board, and successfully made it into a “Free Speech” platform. Also, there is the financial aspect- Elon Musk is projected to become a trillionaire. Elon could pay off some of the debt, and still live comfortably.

Trump has a lot of money. Billions. Or, he did. While the DOJ was weaponized against him, Trump managed to take out a good number of underlings of the Swamp. But if they went after Elon, Nancy Pelosi would end up in jail, along with others too. So, I learned to respect Elon when he threw in with Trump during the later part of the campaign! Whoopi was already stirring the pot, when she claimed that Elon had anything to do with Russia. Good grief. But it worked I think. With Elon helping Trump, some of the pressure was off of Trump!! Good job, Elon Musk.

  • Pam Bondi

Pam Bondi will be the new Trump pick for Attorney General, to head the Justice Department. She has previous experience, but she is not a swamp monster. Thats the thing, Trump learned his lesson, and he is nominating people who are not from the swamp, but are competent individuals, and capable of good effective leadership. Trump has picked a number of women for his Cabinet- so its clear what he is doing. Trump is making sure, that there never will be a Harris Presidency. Congratulations, Pam Bondi!

  • Matt Gaetz

Matt stepped down as Trump’s nominee for Attorney General. He said he did not want to “Hold up the Trump administration”. Trump was sorry to see him go, but everyone knows he will appear else where in the administration.

    Ditch Mitch!!

Mitch Mconnell needs to go. He is opposed to Trump, and a swamp monster!!! He opposed the will of the people. That man has been in power for far to long. It is time for him to go. What a sore loser! As I said, he is a swamp monster, and this is why he is trying to hold up the Trump administration.

  • Late To Work…

At exactly 6:11 AM, dispatch called and notified me that I needed to be at work. “O, crap I thought- I am late, when I saw the time”. It doesn’t matter to the person I relieve thankfully, because they don’t get off until 7 AM. What happened, is that I forgot to set my alarm. So, it didn’t go off. I will need to rectify that.

So, I decided not to stop and buy cigarettes so I could make up for time. At 11:46 AM I ran out of cigarettes. But I did ok. I keep running out of cigarettes, so I decided to buy a Geek Bar for the next time. It was only $20.

I went over to Mom’s house for a little while after work. I told Mom, she needs a vacation. She seems so tired, you know? I know she is getting older, but this shouldn’t be. My nephew told me that his cheek was giving him trouble. He might have to go to the ER!

I have writers block. Not when I blog, but when I have to write for work or school, it hits. Hopefully, during school I can take inspiration from my writing in my blog. I certainly have written a lot here. That is for sure. I am at over 200 posts. Well, that is all, for me, for now. I am doing well over all, I just do not like being late to work- it throws off my entire day.

  • For Me The Choice Is Simplistic

    Daily writing prompt
What are your family’s top 3 favorite meals?

Pepperoni Pizza, tacos, and hamburgers and hotdogs. Yum.

  • Wow, This Is So Fascinating

I was looking for Christmas music on YouTube. I came across this. It really touched me, and the ceremony was very moving. It felt like I had been blessed. So, I wanted to share this with you too, so that perhaps you will be blessed as well.

  • Trump’s Secretary of Education and Other Veteran News

So- I guess I should start with the Veteran news. Apparently, according to Military Times, since Nov 1 2020, Veterans with a disability rating of 0% or more can use the exchange/commissary. You just need to bring your disability letter with you, to gain access to the base. Right before Trump got cheated out of office, he made it possible for Veterans to access these resources. I cannot wait to see what Trump does, with a Republican majority in the House, and Senate.

Notice how at the end of this statement, President Trump says, “We will send Education BACK TO THE STATES,”. Trump also envisions school choice as being universal. Regardless of zip code, or income.

  • I Worked Today

Its been almost a week since I last worked, and I was glad for the activity. Also my therapist called. I was grateful to speak to her. I appreciate having a therapist, have ever since I was a kid. I know some people don’t like the idea of admitting to having a therapist. This may partly be due to confidentiality. Either way- it is ok to have a therapist and if you have never had one, I encourage you to try one. It is like a massage for your mind, you know?

At work, not much happened. As I said, I was just glad for the activity. The pay is nice too. I ended up ordering McDonald’s McNuggets to eat, for lunch. It tasted like victory! On top of this, I ended up forging coffee, till I got off work. I have to admit something else- I have issues sleeping. I slept hardly a wink before work.

After work, I got a call. It was from H&R Block, notifying me that Marie, my Tax Advisor, had finished my alternative tax return. She figured the new balance would be below $3000. Nice! It beats $9000+. Only thing is, she needs my address for my old apartment, where I lived when I filed that errant tax return. So, on Saturday Marie is going to call me again, and I will give her that information.

    Veteran’s Readiness and Employment (VR&E)

This is my third time. The first time, I had just moved up to Washington State. The VR&E coordinator, then, told me that at the time, I would need to refile for Chapter 31 in Washington State. Being a Disabled Veteran, I figured I would be a shoe-in. I applied in Washington State, and got rejected by Chapter 31 in that state. That curtailed my plans of becoming a “Dawg”. Well, that is ok. Jack said he would go with me, when I have my interview. I have had Chapter 31 described as being a second “GI Bill”, as you can go to school on it.

I am hoping to get enrolled in VR&E because that will make it easier, financially, for me to finish my Bachelor’s Degree. I am almost done, really, as a Junior. I only have one semester left of the Post 9/11 GI Bill. So, we will see if I need to finish the GI Bill, or if I can save it and use Chapter 31. I am not boasting- rather, I am admitting, it sounds like this program is easy to get into, as a disabled veteran, but I am struggling. I may have to quit my job- but I don’t want to have to do that unless I am taking a full load of classes for school. Which would help me finish school.

I know that school would help me. I applied for a job on http://www.usajobs.gov and got turned down. The only reason being, that I did not have a Bachelor’s Degree. I would be a GS-7 if I had already gotten that degree!!! Also, I noticed that having the education helps in real life too. Plus, Jack has his degree, and I want to have my degree too. Hopefully, this time around I get into Chapter 31 at the VA.

  • The Beach….

    Daily writing prompt
Beach or mountains? Which do you prefer? Why?

Is always fun to visit. Although- here in Texas, I think I would just get stung by a jellyfish. But I do like South Padre Island. I enjoyed all sorts of beaches- from the rocky beaches of the Puget Sound, to fascinating beaches in far off Manama, Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf.

But I prefer the mountains. That is because I grew up in Western Washington, surrounded by the mountains, I think. I mean, even today, I was searching the skyline for Mountains. That was the whole reason for me, going to Washington last year. I needed to see the mountains once more. There are just sounds in the mountains that no beach has. If you have been in the mountains you know exactly what I am talking about. So, yes beaches are fun- but for me Mountains is where it is at.
