  • Calming Down

    I had to calm myself down, because I was upset about Blizzard’s maintenance on a Wednesday. So, I made a pot of coffee, and smoked a couple of cigarettes. Ah, yes. Now, where to begin in my writing?

    I guess I will just start with the first thing I did today. I got my oil changed, in my car. But I wanted to be the first person in line to get my oil changed. I hate waiting around, for now apparent reason. I googled the place I was going to go, to check the hours. It said “Open 7:30 AM”. So, at just before 6:30 AM, I took off and bought a 7/11 and cigarettes. Then, headed to Valvoline.

    I knew I had a long time to wait as I pulled up to the oil place. It was only about 6:45 AM. The attendant was already there, and he politely told me that they would be open at 7:30 AM despite some of his employees being late. I was so relieved. Not sure what else to do, I began reading my book. I read about three chapters of Bibi, while I waited. The chapters aren’t very long.

    AT 7:30 AM, they had me pull my car in to get the oil changed. Finally, I thought. It didn’t take very long, 15 minutes to be exact. Thats pretty good. They had several recommendations for maintenance. I asked for a print off, and I will discuss each one with my Dad. Maybe one of them is time sensitive and needs to be done shortly.

    Bibi, My Story

    So, I told you earlier, I was reading a book. A couple weeks ago I heard an interview between Bibi and Dr. Robert Jeffress of the First Baptist at Dallas church. It was a good interview, but during the interview Bibi, Prime Minister of Israel, plugged his book. So, I ordered it. The man pulls no punches- first off, he admits he has killed people. But secondly, he also admits his emphatically in love with Israel and the Jewish people.

    One thing I have learned, reading through the book was with Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. Now, Israel is poised to take it back. If you ask me, Gaza belongs to Israel! They shouldn’t be giving up territory. Israel is already a tiny country as it is!

    My Mom and I had a brief discussion about Israel. SHe said, “They are the people of God”. I admit, she is right. What is more, the Messiah, Jesus, comes from them! In fact, He was born as King of the Jews! He will return. Abraham is still alive, according to Jesus. That means the promises of God, to Abraham are still alive. God bless Israel! Long live the House of David!!

    Anyways, I am just here now, hoping the maintenance ends soon. My plan is to level my warlock’s herbalism a bit more so he can pick herbs in Desolace. His herbalism isn’t high enough yet. Now, let me look at doing the daily prompt. The daily prompt is about my favorite childhood book. So, I will do that one. Have a good day!

  • Maintenance- Again!!!

    Blizzard shutdown there servers for a second time, this week. Most notably, on a Wednesday. So, frustrating. So, I decided I would use the time to write in my blog.

  • Islamophobia I

    World of Warcraft is down right now, so I am going to do a bit of blogging. I wanted to update my reader on the rise of Islamophobia in Texas. So, essentially, it turns out they want to build, or are building, or built a city called Epic City, and it is supposed to be an Islamic city. So, people have been after the Governor about it, because this is not the kind of thing we want in Texas. No one is above the law in Texas, and we don’t want Sharia law either.

    Everyday, you can see the videos of France and the UK, taken over by the Terrorists, and it is not going well for the citizens of those countries. Keep in mind, as well, both the United Kingdom and France have nuclear weapons. The first two Islamic nations with Nuclear weapons won’t be Iran it will be the UK and France.

    SHaria law should be banned in Texas! It was banned in Texas, actually. So, this “Epic City” is incompatible with Texas law, because it would have Sharia courts.

    I have discussed this before. Islamophobia- and what is it exactly? Here is a definition:

  • Maintenance Again

    World of Warcraft is down, today. For “Maintenance”, Blizzard says. For two hours, from 9 AM till 11 AM its down. So, sad. I was in the middle of playing on my Night Elf Druid, when all of a sudden the server shutdown count started. My hearth was on cooldown, and so it was time to head to the nearest resting point- Darnassus. As I started towards the city, I spied a hunter running as well, to get to safety (and rest) at the inn. He ran into a mob on the way, and so I buffed him, his pet, and healed real quick so we could both move on.

    Before the shutdown, I managed to get bearform, and two lvls on my druid. It was impressive. I also did a bit of cooking, herbing, alchemy too. I was going to make my druid into an enchanter. But instead I will keep her as a herb/alch so I can have two Arcanite Transmutations, in the future. Playing the druid is very fun. I recommend it.

  • Life Before The Internet

    Yes. I remember life before the internet. We had a 286 though, so I still got to play computer games. Mostly Corncob 3D (Deluxe edition) AND Commander Keen. I remember having to wait a while, for Windows to load up. I also remember when we first experienced online as well. We got hooked up with three free months of America Online. For my family, this was revolutionary. Why? Because, after that we always at least had e-mail. Juno, and later I created my yahoo accounts. We also continued to use AOL Instant Messenger, even after AOL expired.

    Although, we used the internet for three months, and lost our connection, it forever changed my life. Because of how later in life, I already knew about chatrooms and stuff, when other people didn’t. So, I would go to the library to find chat rooms, sometimes.

  • Soloed Stockades, Visited the Crazy Cat Lady in Elywnn Forest

    Today, is Blizzard’s Maintenance day. World of Warcraft is down. Thats the reason I am here. But what do I have to write about? A crazy adventure. With a lvl 25 druid, and my lvl 33 warlock. They soloed the dungeon known as The Stockades (“Stocks” for short).

    At first we set out to find a group. There were originally three people in our group. The third person suggested I solo Stockades using Voidwalker. I tried to a couple of times. But didn’t get very far. But the person who invited me, whose name I don’t remember, was a druid. Which means they could heal. So, I had her heal my voidwalker. While I killed the mobs. It went alright. We managed to get one boss, and then found a chest too. Just as the server was about to go into Maintenance. But the druid noticed my cat and asked, “Where did you get that” so I said “Follow me”, and I proceeded to make a B-line for the Crazy Cat Lady, just outside of Stormwind.

    We had to avoid some of the mobs. With seconds to spare, we found the Cat Lady, and the druid was able to purchase a cat carrier all for her very own. After we made it, I hearthed. Here is a screenshot:

    This is not a screenshot of the Stockades. But rather of my hunter, and his pet, and one of my questing buddies out in Arathi Highlands. Still, you can get an idea of how things must have looked in the Stockades as my lvl 33 warlock soloed it. With the druid healing, it was doable. Had we not been pressed for time, we might have finished the dungeon.

    I didn’t have much to say. I just wanted to rely this incident on my warlock, with you. I could have just one shot the dungeon for the druid, on my warrior, but actually, my warrior was on the other continent, Kalimdor. So, it would have taken to long for him to travel to Stormwind, in order to run the Stockades for the druid who was passionate about running Stocks. Well, thats all for now, folks.

    Now, I am listening to David Jeremiah, as I overcome my withdrawals from not being able to play World of Warcraft for eight hours. Time for me to get some rest.

    I make coffee, and smoke. I also login to World of Warcraft. But I cannot do that right now, because it is down for maintenance. That is why I am typing here. I can’t sleep either.

    I have a book shelf full of books. I wish I could get it together, and just start reading them. Maybe finish the whole bookshelf. Who knows what kind of wisdom I might discover, in so doing that. Maybe I would be able to sort the bookshelf out too. It is a mess.
