Uber Eats

I signed up to drive Uber Eats. I already had an account. But had to do a back ground check, and add my vehicle, the Isuzu Rodeo. Its making some money. I like driving Uber Eats. My Dad actually showed me how to do it, so I know how to drive Uber Eats because of him. Also, I got a call from a Master Chief regarding an Administrative Separation.

I like the challenge of driving Uber Eats. Plus, it supplements my income a little bit. Between being a Security guard and driving Uber Eats I should be able to save for a car, or perhaps to repair the Kia Spectra. The fuel efficiency of the Kia would be preferred for delivering Uber Eats.

There is the Kia Spectra. It has two problems: No AC, and the car goes into safe mode when driving. Which makes it difficult to drive on the highway. But if I can save some money and repair the Kia, it would be a lot better than driving Uber Eats with the Rodeo. Driving Uber Eats with the Rodeo is dangerous. According to Progressive’s Snapshot, I made 14 hard brakes.

Another thing I enjoy about driving Uber Eats, is that I get to help people get there food, and feed the hungry. When people are satisfied with there deliveries, they usually tip. I like those tips. They make up for the gas.

Driving Uber before the pandemic and driving Uber after the pandemic are two different experiences. When I drove Uber before the pandemic, there were dead times, when no one was ordered any food. After the pandemic, it has been constantly nonstop. When the app is on, I cannot even stop for a cigarette break hardly. I can decline an order, and seconds later I have another order.

The sweet spot for delivering Uber seems to be about 6 AM. Six AM is when every one wants there coffee, and donuts. Breakfast burritos and omelets. Of course, you cannot forget the classic McDonald’s breakfast as well. But even tonight, I still ended up making quite a bit, because of tips. I have a guaranteed trip rate of $280 for 35 deliveries by August 5. I have ten more deliveries to do until then. So, it is not to challenging. It is rather relaxing, yet challenging to deliver Uber Eats.

I am listening to “Awesome God” being played on the radio. I listen to KCBI 90.9. They are a local radio station, Christian but they also have an app called KCBI. I like hearing Awesome God because it makes me think I am headed in the right direction. Or maybe that I just need to remember, God is awesome no matter what happens.

With the Navy Reserves I currently have an Administrative Separation package for being UA from my drills. I missed a total of 28 drills. Yet, I was told by Medical that I was a non-drilling Reservist. I talked to a Master Chief today about it. He called me, but I missed his call. So, I called back. I did not realize a Master Chief had called me. I saw that the phone call was from Texas, not labelled as a scam.

I don’t know if this is the result of the involvement of BM1 Larson, or if this is something independent. I hope that I can appeal my case somehow. The Prior Service Recruiter BM1 Larson, in Florida, had me call her last week. She tried to get me to join the Reserves. But I explained that I was already in the Reserves. She then explained she would help me find out what was going on with my MRR. My Medical Retention Review. So, a lot is going on with the Navy. I am dismayed that I missed all those drills, and I could have been going to drill all that time. Now, if I get a chance to make up my drills, thats a lot of drills, it makes me want to go Active Duty even more. Hopefully, this Master Chief will help me sort this out and I can continue to drill, or go Active Duty. I will try calling again. But first I need to call BM1 Larson.

Anyways, thats a lot going on. First, I am working as a Security Guard. Then, I am driving Uber Eats. At the same time I am dealing with the Navy. All I can really do is pray, and hang on tight. Remember, “Our God is an Awesome God!”
