I have begun to quietly head back to school. With all that is going on, I have decided, it is time to go back and finish my degree. I study History and have a minor in Geography. But my history advisor told me I could have two minors. Mr. Wendell A. Hunnicutt Ph.D was my advisor this time.
I need to re-apply. Again. But not to be deterred my advisor helped me find the class I need at TCC. It is Formal Logic. Then, I will transfer that class to UTA. He suggested taking the class during the summer. But I might wait till the Fall. Still, I will have to consider it. I have taken classes at TCC during the summer. Those summer classes are no joke. But if you can stick with it, it is worth it.
Mr. Hunnicutt went and also sent me a copy of my degree plan. Below is a copy of that degree plan.
Incase you do not want to risk clicking on the link. I have included an image of the degree plan below:

This is from UTA, the degree plan I mentioned. This is what it looks like. So, I have a degree plan. But I need to re-apply. I am going to re-apply as soon as I get some rest. Mr. Hunnicutt said they could make one of my Geology classes fit into my Geography minor. Then, I would be finished with the Geography Minor. But thats ok, because I like Geography. I also found out that 1/5 people take more than one minor, when they study History. So, that was comforting to know. Mr. Hunnicutt said it took him twenty-one years to earn his Bachelor’s degree. So, I felt it was a real pleasure to meet Mr. Hunnicutt. He seemed to have a real passion for History advising. Normally my History advisor is Miss Nancy Gandre, but this time it was W. A. Hunnicutt, Ph.D. So, I was happy to make his acquaintance. The more in History that I know, the better I can do.
I took the picture on my way to advising. I called it my Back to School photograph. I like that set, determined look. I am a bit weathered as I had been working the night before my advising appointment. I also so Dr. Palmer as I entered the History office. So, I knew he was there too. He taught one of my classes. Actually, two but one needs to be either dropped or re-taken. Maybe my History advisor wants me to take the summer class so I can gain more confidence, and yet get Formal Logic completed in a timely fashion. So, I can take a class at UTA during the Fall. Something else my History advisor recommended was welding as a possible elective. So, there is all of that. I suppose the welding would help me to get my GPA up. Plus it would help me to get some physical hands on going as well. He said it was up to me, what I take for my electives. Then, Mr. Hunnicutt explained that once I finish my requirements, I will take a capstone class. A cumulative class of all that I have learned at UTA. The final class. The big one. Then, I would have my Bachelor’s in History degree.
I posted my blog a bit to soon. I wanted to write some more. One of the reasons I think I can take classes, is because the way my job works. So, I wanted to attempt to take at least one class. At first I was going to take Formal Logic at UTA. The GI Bill won’t pay for me to take it a second time. So, I will need to pay for it myself. I decided that instead of taking it at UTA, I will take it at TCC. Because it will be cheaper. My History advisor, Nancy Gandre, had recommended taking Formal Logic at TCC anyways. So, I think taking aiming to take Formal Logic at TCC is the best course of action. Once I am finished, I can transfer the class to UTA, my History advisor said that would be no problem. Logic fell under one of those classes I took, and well I had a bad semester. Partly, because I was at the VA. Which came to nothing. It was a waist of my time. But now, who knows we might be on to something. The VA thinks I have worse than Aspergers syndrome and thats why I think they keep pushing all of these medications on me.
I just hope that God will bless me as I prepare to take a fresh start, and begin taking classes. I think I will try that welding, for an elective. I have never done welding in my life. Lets see what I can learn from scratch. Lets see what my new vigor can yield. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog. I sure enjoyed writing it. I am ready to be done with school. But I need to finish these classes I need for my History degree. I believe in God. I believe God will bless me in this endeavor. Yesterday was 3:16 day. I thought it was a good day to work. But also a good day to start back to school. Which I most certainly did. I was lost, and God provided me with good guidance from Mr. Hunnicutt.
In the mean time, I need to get some rest. I have some more “Page 13s” to fill out. For my MRR. Gee, what fun. But so it must be. The Navy is important too.
